  i was not born-in, began studying when i was around 20, am 50 damn years old now and have spent almost the last 30 years in that stupid religion.

  the last gathering i went to, i was impressed by how submissive and compliant the young men were.

  more like sweet little old ladies (not knocking old women here).

  they were socially inept, and non-assertive.

  Nothing wrong with being socially inept or non-assertive...much better than guzzling beer while skydiving out a plain and yelling, "Booyah!"

  People who don't accept people for who they are simply aren't worth being around.

  i decided it was time to retrieve something from my truck to see if i could recognize the visiting sisters.

  margaret singer, pioneer in the study of cults, chaired the alberta psychological association (apa) task force on deceptive and indirect methods of persuasion and control (dimpac) from 1983-1987. the final report of this task force was rejected by the apa, and has not been published.

  If freewill doesn't exist, why bother with democracy?

  I believe in freewill, but freewill is not unlimited. We can't control everything about ourselves, but it doesn't mean the choices don't exist in all circumstances.
