Sounds like a page out of the Mormon playbook. Nothing like seeing19/20 year old Mormon "elders" on their bikes passing 20 year old JW elders on the way to their respective houses of worship.

When I was 10 I asked my father about the Tree of Life in Genesis. He was an elder and the Presiding Overseer at that time. My father always seemed well read and up to speed on Watchtower doctrine.
My father's theory was that Satan's full plan was to get Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Life after eating from the Tree of Knowledge. That way Adam and Eve would obtain immortality (aka "Everlasting Life") after "sinning" and Jehovah would have to let them win.
Anything is nothing more than grasping at straws. Typical behavior from the Watchtower. Constantly overreaching.

The Immoral Clock
by Terry inthe immoral clock.
my great-grandmother owned a grandfather clock.
i asked it carefully.. "your mother told me that if she doesn't wind her clock twice a day it slows down, it starts to lie, becomes immoral, and stops.

Are badness, disobedience, and rebellion part of the "perfect" human nature?
by psyco inwhen humankind will be perfect again after 1,000 years living in a paradise without being influenced by satan and demons, since "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), a huge amount of "perfect" people, like adam and eve, will be bad, disobedient, and rebel being misled by satan once again.. does this mean that after living today surrounded by bad, disobedient, and rebel imperfect people, you will still live surrounded by bad, disobedient and rebel "perfect" people in a paradise?.
does this mean that badness, disobedience, and rebellion are part of the "perfect" human nature considering the big amount of people involved ("as the sand of the sea")?.
is it possible that we were originally created with such a strong desire and tendency to badness, disobedience, and rebellion as a result of a wise, loving, and perfect project?.

How can each congregation member do their part? Call inactive ones by phone, send letters and text them during this pandemic!
Here's how I hear that -
"How can each congregation member do their part? Call, send letters, or text your friends and family who you have been shunning as we told you to treat inactive ones as disassociated ones."
So, don't call me because you love me. Call me because Tony Morris III has given you a temporary "Get out of a Judicial Committee" card making it alright to speak to me.

It is a pyramid schemes, the product: "you will not die"
That is the sales pitch of the Abrahamic religions, which makes them egocentric.

Is it possible that we were originally created with such a strong desire and tendency to badness, disobedience, and rebellion as a result of a wise, loving, and perfect project?
That is an interesting question. More questions that are linked to that also come from the Book of Genesis. We are introduced by the writer/writers to a "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad". We recall the Serpent makes a statement to Eve that if she and Adam were to eat of the tree they too would have said knowledge (i.e. knowledge of what is "good" and knowledge of what is "bad").
The Book of Genesis account continues that Adam and Eve eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. The story states they both immediately received this knowledge and came to a realization of they had done. Adam and Eve "cover" themselves. God asks Adam, "Why are you covering yourself (i.e. why do you have clothes on)?" Adam replies, "Because we were naked." Notice God's next question - "How do you know what 'naked' is?"
The question I have are as follows:
According to Biblical definition, does being a "perfect human" mean being completely unaware of what a sin would even look like?
If Jesus manifested on Earth as a perfect human, how did he know what was "good and bad"? He obviously did. Why did he get so angry and forcefully drive out the money changers from the temple if he didn't recognize the bad that was going on?
Did the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge alter Adam and Eve's offspring so that mankind not only inherited sin, but also the knowledge of good and bad? How else do we explain the fact that empathy is a trait generated by the human brain function if the Biblical account is true? So, sickness, old age, and death are not all that mankind inherited from the first couple.
Does this mean when mankind is restored to perfection its offspring in paradise will be unable to comprehend the concepts of good or bad and act accordingly? "Mom and dad, why do you cover your body in woven plant fiber?"
The Euthyphro Dilemma comes to mind with this discussion.

Have you ever thought about this statistic?
by psyco inforgetting for a moment the past, let us imagine that now we are about 8,000,000,000 people in the world and jws are about 8,000,000.8,000,000 / 8,000,000,000 = 0.1%.this means that satan can mislead 99.9% (100 - 0.1) of the people in the world.after 1,000 years, when humankind will be perfect again, since "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), once again a huge amount of perfect people will get misled by satan.if the reason for this big number was because of the imperfection, that means adam and eve's fault, not so many "perfect" people should get misled by satan in the future paradise.so, could you think that 99.9% of the perfect angels are demons misled by satan?
if not, why is satan able or allowed to mislead so many more (imperfect and) perfect humans than angels?another question is: if god "does not desire anyone to be destroyed" (2 peter 3:9), why does he allow satan to be able to mislead 99.9% of people since he knows in advance that "many, i tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able" (luke 13:24), and "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), and "go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it" (matthew 7:13, 14)?
should not it be the other way around as a logical statistic?

According to the Bible, there have been exactly 3 humans who were declared "perfect" by Jehovah. 2/3 of them (66.6%) were mislead be Satan (The 1 that remained perfect was forsaken by Jehovah at his execution). All of mankind minus 8 people at the time of Noah's Flood. In 2022 99.9% of all mankind (footnote: That is a conservative estimate as we do not know how many of JWs are PIMO).
If life were the NFL Satan would be a Super Bowl champ and MVP.

WT Lawyers response in Hines v. Watchtower CSA case 2/11/22
by iloowy.goowy inthis is the link to the memorandum of law in the hines v. watchtower csa case filed last friday 2/11/22.https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/viewdocument?docindex=vzujfhgk0etye/azc/kcbg==.
it is the wt lawyers reply in the trial where deborah hines accuses wt hierarchy even governing body members of continuing to employ a known child abuser, her own dad, at bethel because he was indispensable to them in video-production.
the slimy wt excuses start on page 7 of 28 where, as far as my non-legally mind can understand, the wt lawyers say the governing body can't get sued because they're not a corporation, nor are they mandated reporters of abuse, meaning they don't have to say anything by law even if they know a crime has occurred.. the slimy wt lawyers are also pretty good at playing with words to hide the fact that the governing body does run the business of the watchtower but from behind the scenes.

I did a little research. Only 28 states seem to have mandatory reporting laws for clergy. New York is not one of them.
Keep in mind if the child abuse took place in one of those 28 states the local elders would still be required to report the child abuse to authorities. The fact that the Watchtower ordered the local elders not to report would not be a defense to prosecution.
