at present all eyes are focused on europe and us dollar strengthens but once the european mess is dealt with, with whatever the outcome, the focus will return on us debt and you can bet your dollar the us dollar will drop.

A common misconception of the Witnesses is that the "other sheep"-class is an equivalent of "the great crowd." The missing word here is "potential". According to JW theology, these are the ones coming out of the great tribulation, i.e., after Armageddon. So this is something for the future. Those that insist they are part of this great crowd are presumpteous. This is something one will only find out after the great tribulation. Interestingly, this crowd "no man was able to number." If it consisted only of Witnesses there would not be a problem with the counting. The Witness stats do not lie, or do they?

The US National Debt now stands at $ 16 trillion (1 trillion = 1 with 16 zeros). Obama will have to borrow more than all the presidents before him put together. His tally while in office: He has added $6 trillion to the total. But the politicians say: Don't worry. Everything is under control.

I believe the baseball bat and the lead pipe were invented for a reason. These are instruments that will assist in combatting bullying, abusive spouses, etc. It can be effectively utilized even by those that are small in stature.

At the moment I am involved in building operations, and that keeps me busy. But I am busy compiling a list. When finished, I will let you know and you can vet it. Then I will look for them on Amazon. Will keep you up to date with my progress.

Sir82, did the UK and USA (=Anglo-American power) merge? Both China and Russia come out of the Communist fold, both are nuclear powers. If you follow the news, you will know that China/Russia and their allies (BRICS) vote in a unified way in the UN Security Council, and they have close economic ties as BRICS. In a monetary way, they oppose the Dollar. Less well known fact, Russia and China do military exercises together. You only do that with closest friends. Remember also, it's going to be an economic war, and not a conventional one. Who do you think is going to win?

Well, you brought up China. I took the bait. You will have to admit, the Chinese are doing extremely well. Bottom line though, the King of the North will hold sway, not the King of the South. At the end there the King of the South is not mentioned at all.

He's Trying to get me to come back to the fold...by admitting the faults of the Watchtower
by PYRAMIDSCHEME inmy firend (who is an elder) recently sent the email below trying to get me to come back.
he freely admits the faults of the wt and even goes on to say that even if they did not have gods holy spirit, he felt they would still have gods blessing as the one true religion.
i thought i would get your thoughts on this as it really is (sadly) delusional.

Allow me my five cents worth. Even if JWs had God’s spirit to start off with, they don’t have it anymore. How often have we heard the words: “If you continue sinning, God withdraws his spirit”. Well, the leadership of JWs have committed some whoppers, e.g., joining the UN as NGO, condoning pedophilia, allowing sinning elders to carry on merrily, to name but a few. If we did any of that, we would be kicked out immediately. This is hypocrisy to an extreme degree.
Jesus said one must not judge harshly, for so you will be judged (Matt. 7:1, 2). They are quick to judge others, but have they repented from their sins? Not as far as I know. Their sins remain. So, what happened to the Israelites when they were unrepentant. As a nation they were destroyed twice. The holy place is certainly not in a “right condition” anymore. Not only will the preaching work come to an end, but as an organization they will be destroyed (cf. Dan. 8:13, 14; 12:7; Rev. 11:7).
Jesus inspected his father’s house at the beginning and at the end of his ministry. The apostle Peter also reminds Christians that God’s judgement will start at his own house (cf. 1 Pet. 4:17). That’s why God says: “I will make all things new” (Rev. 21:5). No earthly organization was worth saving, including that of the Witnesses. As individuals we will have have to render an account (Rom. 14:12). Only in the new heavens and earth will righteousness dwell (2 Pet. 3:13). Now we are very far from it. That goes for the Witnesses too.

I believe she (and the Society) are wrong by following such reasoning. They keep on contradicting themselves. According to the latest Daniel-book (in my book p. 277) they refer to the Cold War, a covert war between the USSR, the King of the North, and the King of the South, the Anglo-American Empire. The Cold War started in 1948 and ended with the unification of Germany in 1990 (Dan. 11:40).
Interestingly, the next verse predicts the invasion of the land of the Decoration by the King of the North. Land of the Decoration they apply to their spiritual paradise (Dan. 11:41). So this King of the North is going to attack them. Contrary to expectation, the Communist King of the North has not disappeared. According to Daniel's prophecy, he is alive and well. Of this King of the North it is said "he will actually rule over the hidden treasures of the land of Egypt" (Dan. 11:43). Egypt in the Bible can refer to the world of mankind (cf. Rev. 11:8).
At its feet it will have Libyans (the Arabs) and the Cushites (black African nations). So this King of the North will make inroads in the world, gaining control over the world's commodities, especially oil. This world power will hold sway until its end (Dan 11:45). Even if interpretations may differ, this world power is not the King of the South, the Anglo-American world power. Personally, I view China/Russia as a likely candidate.

Another good example is Sir Isaac Newton, a brilliant scientist, but also very interested in biblical matters. So it can be done, one must just be careful, balanced, and keep your head.
