  Are your Ready for Sunday's WT...1914...

  to all who are still active...& those who are not...... is everyone ready for wt for sunday....1914....is everyone ready to see the friends faces, that will pretend all is well.

  but their minds will be racing.

  i started the article...talk about confusing...but maybe on purpose only a few in the hall will be able to break it down.

  Just listened to it. Very few errors I noticed. re.. disfellowshiping. The elders would say after 12mth that we would like to reinstate as the person is attending all the meetings. The person would have to write a letter requesting reinstatement. ????

  I thought richard was great. Which one of us is Richard?!!

  If our American friends have not had the pleasure of listening to the angelic tones of the "brummie' accent which is people who live in the West Midlands then head to the start. The word that is repeated after most sentences is 'like' . Lol. Otherwise ex jw Richard is on after the news at 30-33mins.

  A JW apologist writes about VAT 4956

  a jw wrote the following in an attempt to discredit the evidence provided by vat 4956. comments on the author's logic would be appreciated.

  does vat 4956 prove 587?.

  many point to vat 4956 as proof that jerusalem was desolated in 587bce.

  Faith v. Works

  recently, i wanted to make sure i was being accurate about wt doctrine, so i read a number of wt articles about salvation.. i was surprised to see how many of them say that everlasting life is a gift based on the ransom sacrifice, that it can't be earned.. if you talk to a jw they may even quote this teaching.. yet if you try to tell a jw that the bible says the salvation comes by grace through faith, they immediately tell you that faith without works is dead and that you need to take in knowledge, obey god's laws, identify and join jehovah's organization, and for the rest of your life go door to door with the good news of jehovah's kingdom.. why do you think jws can't see the contradiction in all of this?.

  how can we get across to them that this doesn't make sense?.

  *Facepalm* What do you make of this cultish email I just got from my JW friend? What do I say to her?

  a bit of background: she is a sweet sister who has hard a really hard life: mum killed in an accident when she was young while once-an-elder dad was off having an affair after having been released from jail after serving time as a pedophile; she spent months in hospital after the accident which killed her mother; brothers jailed as pedos, ex husband left her cold with their 6 month old son- she's had a tough life and is a really sweet lady.

  she's intelligent, caring, forgiving and articulate.

  far too good for jws.. she 'brought me into the truth' as they say, and as such we've always had a pretty good bond.. now, after the gossip/slander fiasco of another so-called friend running around telling everyone i'm an apostate and not to talk to me, i unfriended my jw friends from facebook with an explanation.
