by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

by Star tiger ini beginning to think that this would be a good way of thinking, a totally righteous being would not let all the shit that is happenning to people prevail, this being cannot have the best interests of man as his first priority, it's all about ego and no matter how the human familty suffers, he hates pretty much everyone, as the tv show says, your fired, let's get a better god, one who at least gives everyone a chance!!.
i welcome comments from god apologists, to at least have an argument as to why they put they're faith in someone that does'nt give a shit about them!.

The JW religion claims that the truth is black and white in the scriptures. Without Holy Spirit, many are deceived as to their meaning. We are also told to test things and not be deceived... look at 2 John and 1 John. It is about balance.
I wonder, dear friends, if the Holy Spirit does teach us... why do we feel the need to argue with other Christian's beliefs? Will the Spirit not correct them?

District Assembly eating rules....
by JH induring our district assembly which will be held at a coliseum, we were told not to go outside during the intermission, and not eat in restaurants near by.
we were told to bring our own food and eat inside the coliseum.
usually, the coliseum offers hot dogs and hamburgers and drinks, but the brothers refused this service.. .

I wonder if the motive for these Dub Dietary Restrictions has more to do with "protecting" the brothers from exposure to apostates doing street work outside the stadium? Oh, sure, they want to do what they can to keep the consessionaires miserable - that's just a bonus.

by Pig init is likely that at some time or other there will be a major shtf scenario.. my parents always talked of all going to the kingdom hall and waiting it out while god destroyed the evil people.. but bethal doesnt actually have food stocks and medical stocks, does it?
they dont have a plan to distribute essential supplies to groups of jw's residing on watchtower owned land, do they?.
if there is a ww3 and the watchtower says "ok this is it, this is the big a" then what?.

the speaker was doing your normal talk about modesty in dress.

Huh. yep. I figured out about a month before we left the org that I looked like crap in a bathing suit because I was so concerned about being modest. My daughter and I both got two pieces and we feel so much better about ourselves wearing them.

Really stupid comment from an elder (and he was completely serious!)
by freshstart inmy husband and this elder in our old congregation used to trade dvds and such, just letting each other borrow them.
they would always return them to each other in a timely manner, no big deal.
well in 2005 they had traded some and about a week after that, a terrible natural disaster hit our area and everyone was displaced and it was a few months before things got settled back down again.

We should scan this page and forward it to as many Women's Rights groups as possible. Something tells me they wouldn't take too kindly that millions of women in one group are being told that they should stay with an abusive husband because he might convert one day.
