Lat'Lon can be contained within some picture data. W/Video
by notjustyet inwanted to share this video regarding the info that could be contained in the pics you may be taking with your smart phone and other devices that have locations services turned on.
seems that your location data could be pulled from some pics and the exact place that the pics were taken shown on a map.
with all the bad guys out there, pedophiles and elders looking to snag a jw, you may want to turn off location services to "off" when it comes to pics you may post of yourself or trips you take.

I'm 100% with you Mathaw,.
I see zero need to celebrate something that I know is based on a false religious premise.
I have children who I do not want to get sold into another form of slavery albeit less restrictive than the Jw sentence.
Way would a person burden themselves with such troubles I will never know. Caving into pressure to conform if you ask me.

Enjoyed your videos,..have a good life,..
I just thought about how the eskimos or inuits possibly used to take the old and useless persons and put them on a piece of ice alone and send them
off to basically die on the piece of flaoting ice that is seperated from the mainland.
What you are doing is the exact opposite, you have been ON that piece of floating ice seperated from humanity in general and have decided to break off a smaller piece and head for the mainland to live out a good life as you are not used up.

JW's will foam at the mouth if you pray to Jesus? Do they try to tell you this prior to the big sting?
by Narcissistic Supply init took me 7 years to figure out that jeho's are mortified to sit in the room if you pray to jesus.
i've prayed to jesus my entire life.
i tell my estranged spouse that she can pound sand if she doesn't like me praying to jesus with my two little girls.. i tell her and her mom to pound lots and lots of sand if you think i"m going to stop praying to jesus.

They actually worshipped Jesus up until 1954.
Then it was idolatrous.
Here is a URL that you will have to copy and paste that discusses this flip flop on the matter.

Alcyone was Jehovahs "crib"
by notjustyet ini was doing some reading up on the wtbts former belief that the annointed would go and be with jehovah and jesus on "alcyone" when they died.
(alcyone is a star system in the constellation taurus.
it is the brightest star in the pleiades open cluster, which is a young cluster, aged at less than 50 million years.

I was doing some reading up on the WTBTS former belief that the annointed would go and be with Jehovah and Jesus on "Alcyone" when they died. (Alcyone is a star system in the constellation Taurus. It is the brightest star in the Pleiades open cluster, which is a young cluster, aged at less than 50 million years. Alcyone is approximately 370 light years from Earth. Wikipedia)
Alcyone is in the Pleiades constellation and you may have heard that Charles Taze(r) Russel believed that this was where the throne of Jah was as this star was thought to be the center of the Universe. Ties in with some mytholgy and pyramid stuff etc,..
Anyway, didn't the Heavens Gate members think that when they died that they would be taken to a waiting spaceship hiding in the tail of the Hail Bop Comet?
We all pretty much think that the Heavens Gate members are KRAE KRAE right? Is there really that much difference in belief between what the early JWs used to believe and what the Heavens Gate members "used" to believe? Just really the location as to where they would wind up. Jws would be Alyone, Heavens Gate would be Hale Bops Comet (in space ship) Jws beleived it would happen the instant when they died, Heavens Gate believed it the instant when they died.
I have not heard what the current belief is as far as "where" everyone of the annointed is supposed to wind up when they die. I would love to ask them is they were going to be spread around the universe or be in one location like a government usually does. Of course they would have to be able to obseves what is happening on the Earth etc. I would love to try to pin them down on what physical location they would say that they would be confined to.

Being told you are hated by everyone?
by trailerfitter inokay, after a discussion with the seperated wife who admitted that because she is a jehovahs witness that she expects to be hated by everyone.
she expressed that she was "foreign" and not the same as others since she is not of this world.
okay, reality check - this is actually taught by the watchtower?

"Worldly" what does it mean?
by msconcerned ini have recently been using the expression "people not of our faith" and it shocks me to be corrected everytime by, "you mean worldly".
i dont really like the word worldly because i feel it is a degrading word to describe people we love so much that we try to find them in the ministry.
below are a couple of quotes from recent watchtowers that really give us the esscence of the word worldly as far as the watchtower is concerned.. janusz, who lives in eastern europe, became engrossed in his gardening business.

My family and I have been out going on 2 years and last year when one of my sons teachers ( who knows our story about leaving this cult) told my wife
" It's great getting to know him, he is so worldy" She saw my wifes face change to concern ( and then added ) "Oh,.. I mean worldy in a good way, well rounded, travelled and an impressive vocabulary for his age" (I'm paraphrasing here a bit, but you get the gest)
My wife then understood that she meant "wordly" in a good way, the way that non cult members see it. They both had a chuckle at that.
It does go to show that there sometimes can be some cobwebs that stick in the mind as far as the cults definition of certain words.
We were glad to hear that our child is considered "wordly" on both levels really,...

Heard that this older country, not city, brother ( great person by the way) was offering the magazines and one of the articles was on
Nuclear Fission. I heard that he said to the householder that he had heard of all types of fishing, but had never heard of nuclear fishing.
I had been joking around with my cohorts that I knew the bible all the way from "Generation to Revolution" purposely saying the names of the books incorrectly. SO I had actually been saying this more than the actual names and found myself out in service with the CO and I wind up telling the householder that our bible is like many others and goes from, you guessed it, "generations to revolutions" Right in the middle of saying this I knew what had happened and kinda knew I had messed up right there infront of God and more importantly the CO.
I then tried to explain to the CO after we left the door WHY I had messed up as I had been joking around with my friends etc, and he kinda just smiled a bit which I thought was unusual as I thought he would drop the hammer on me for that one.
