  ive seen a few threads discussing misquotations, including the quote about roman times taken from a book of fiction.

  apologies but i cant recall the author or the book mentioned but im sure others will know what im talking about .. so how many books do they read to find these quotes ?

  they must b e buying a lot of apostate books just to find a worthy quote.

  It amazes me to see just how many times they make damning statements that they themselves are the most guilty.

  I truly wonder if this is not some type of known diversionary trick, ploy, to divert the attention of the Jw reader.

  I'm thinking that the Jw mind reads this and subconsciously thinks " why would the WTBTS bring to light things nth at they tthe lev are guilty of?" And this might prevent their minds from ever clicking to the point where they take a look inward at the WTBTS.

  i have not been going to the meetings for just over nine months and was wondering what to say when an elder asked am i coming back.

  if i say no will i get df'd?

  we have not gotton any phonecalls or visits but a text message asking if we are coming back.

  i wanted to find out where carl sagan got this info from.. i know they, the wtbts thought that the end would be in 1914, then 1915 but do not remember reading where they made the statement that it did end.. .

  Reading Mr Sagans quote I was thinking that CTR would have had one of those "mystical moments" where they turn physical things into spiritual things like they tend to do.

  Something's like, " As far as Jehovah and his true followers are concerned, the world HAS come to an end already. He is ALLOWING it to continue as much as the worldly governments will allow a prisoner who has been found guilty and is sitting on death continue to live, for the time being"

  Wow, I think I was almost channeling CTR there for a moment,.. Lol

  I thought the would have been one of those, mystical swaps.

  Holy Spirit or Men's Bias

  i know this has been covered in the past however i wish to bring it up again.. i was told that if hs wants a man appointed as a ms or "elder" there is nothing that any human can do to prevent it from happening.

  so my question is to anyone who asks why i am rapidly fading... what is the reason to "reach out'?

  if it is true that hs does the appointing then wth difference does it make what appears to the eyes of the partial judges who decide if one gets to be an even bigger suck up?
