  London Ohio and Indianapolis Assemby Halls to be sold

  announce was made this week that the assembly halls in london, ohio and indianapolis indiana will be sold and a new 3000 seat assembly hall will be built in southwest ohio.

  the assembly hall in london ohio was built in the 70's and is in fine shape - nothing wrong with it.

  the new one will cost around 8-9 million.

  I heard this week that the Southwest Ohio Assembly Hall that had been planned near Cincinnati will not be built after all, at least any current plans are taken off the schedule. The London Ohio assembly hall will continue to be used.

  What gets me is that they had a special box in the hall for collections for this project, and the local congregation gave 400-500 dollars each month for several years. Now the money is gone and the project won't be built. They just kept the money. It's sad that no one here seemed to notice.

  There have been cases where thieves or criminals have pretended to be JWs to scope out neighborhoods, etc. maybe that is what they are going after. The JWs shouldn't be out after usual hours anyway.

  i looked around my hall and saw so many miserable unbelieving mates and relatives it was actually funny.

  they were in a glazed-over stupor.

  they looked liked children forced to go to an opera.

  It really strikes me how things were so different then. Not just the jw religion. Everything. A modern audience wouldn't go for 8 straight days of 12 hrs each. Amazing. But we did it. Miserable, but it made such memories.

  in mississippi, there is a historical site called forks of the road.

  before the civil war, it was one of the most active slave trading markets in the south.

  it was a triangular piece of land formed by ... you guessed it ... a fork in the road.

  during the wt study yesterday i had a confused look on my face the whole meeting.

  more of a, wtf, face.

  one paragraph says, "therefore,the number of partakers does not accurately indicate the number of anointed ones left on earth.".

  i do not know if this misquote has been discussed here already.. new catholic encyclopedia says this about jw:.
