Were You Able To "Express Freeness of Speech" While You Were A JW?
by minimus ini've come to appreciate that "freeness of speech" is something one could have only if they were studying with witnesses.
once you became a witness, it was all over!
no more questions, discussions or contrary opinions.

Hey exjdud.
"OMG! I was a JW Moonie!"
HAHAHAHA.
I was thinking along those same lines when I posted that.
I was reminded of a time quite a few years ago when I was In the Bus depot in NYC. and the Hare Chrisnas (spl?) were singing and trying to place-sell literature.
They came up to me and stuck a book out to me so I took it and started walking away. One of them came up to me and said "That will be a $10.00 donation please." Well needless to say I gave the book back to them.
But as I said, all cults do the same thing.

Now you see how they realy are.
How quickly they turn on a person that doesn't act or think exactly like they do.
Send them a thank you note for showing you their true colors.
Can you imagine spending the rest of your life under thier thumb?
There is story after story after story that the only thing that is important to the JWs is their meeting atendance and going out door to door trying to sell WT magazines.
Nothing Christian about this.
All cults do exactly the same things.

There goes their claim of being Gods mouthpiece.
Their claim of the elders being being ordained by Holy Spirit.
Their claim that changes in their teachings is due to 'new light' from God.
Their claim that if a person is not part of the WTS they will be snuffed out.
Actually any claims that have been made this 'human orginization' (in their own words even.) must be thrown out the window.
Will the die hard dub even understand what the WTS is saying with this?
Probably not. But any potential new studies might be more apt to tell them thanks but no thanks.

Are You a Taker Not a Giver
by blondie inmany posting here once would not accept a blood transfusion or give blood because of the wts doctrine.. having left that doctrine behind and being willing to "accept" a blood transfusion, are you willing (if able medically) to donate blood?.
if willing to accept an organ transplant, are you willing (if medically able) to donate an organ, either as a live donor or when deceased?.
if yes, to both questions, do you donate blood regularly?

I do.
I don't know if anyone wants it but I still do.
Just don't tell the elders. OK?

If The Watchtower Allowed You To Ask A Question From Readers......
by minimus inwhat would your question be?

If this is really the 'truth', why are you so afraid of the flock checking the WT history and asking questions?

Even JW Children are stupid!
by PopeOfEruke inmy wife is a teacher and she had a class today, where she played a game with the kids.
one child came forward and stood facing the class with her back to the blackboard.
another kid wrote "minnie mouse" above her head on the blackboard; the purpose of the game being that she had to guess "who" she was, by asking the class questions.

Perhaps we shouldn't say that JW kids are stupid.
After all, they are subject to extreme brainwashing.
How many of us exjws were raising children while we were active in the WT cult?
Remember the presure we put on the kids to parot the things taught at the meetings?
They were expected to answer the questions at the meetings word for word for the most part from the WT books and mags.
The scientific and health experts in the field on human growth report that kids at an early age are the most susceptable of people to take in and learn what they see and hear.
They say that a persons intelect for the most part is shaped for life from that time.
Sure it was sometimes tough and embarasing for us adults when we had to make a stand for the WT teachings but at least we were adults and we could handle it.
I remember thinking to myself thank God I'm not a kid in school having to deal with the presures of having to deal with all the crap that the JW kids have to face because of the WT teachings.

So let it be written...So let it be done
by plmkrzy intonight, or last night since its early morning now, i stayed home and watched the annual release of "the ten commandments" .
i was just wondering, since there was never any real mention of the use of scribes during moses day and they were basically put to use after moses posted all those laws, who was writing all this stuff down every time the pharaoh said "so let it be written, so let it be done.
i don't recall seeing one scribe in that movie!
