  basically, from what i can tell from the new return to jehovah brochure, is that the governing body is now offering amnesty to anyone who has been gone from the congregation but now wants to return.. it claims it doesn't matter what sins you've done, or what caused you to leave, if you repent to jehovah and ask the elders to help you, and return to the meetings, you'll be warmly welcomed with no disciplinary action or judgment against you..

  More Young Indoctrination

  not sure how wide spread this is, but from my social media land i saw 2 separate videos, from two halls in completely different towns featuring their kids having a demonstration on the service meeting (i am guessing last night as i didn't go).

  these kids are really young!

  maybe this was just a coincidence at first i thought it was the same video then realized theses people live hundreds of miles apart.

  Thanks for posting the video. But sorry I could not watch more that the first minute. I am almost 60 now and yet this video is dredging up those awkward moments when I was 7 years old as a JW in the school system as if they were yesterday. I would rather keep those demons at rest.

  book presented a large amount of new light or clarified understanding of the events of the great tribulation.. here i am presenting it in chronological order -- this is the governing body's updated chronological order of events for the time right before the great tribulation through armageddon:.

  the final sealing of the anointed occurs just prior to the outbreak of the tribulation.

  What you describe, is not that much different that what I was taught.

  The problem is coming up with scriptures to justify the events and the order of events. My first awakening was going through what I was taught and trying to justify these events by scriptures - based upon what I found, it can't be done.

  you know about my not-so-ugly divorce and how me and my wife found out the religion is false.

  she still attends while my 17 year old has been raging on me about all the wasted time he suffered from by being in this religion.

  he think's his life is ruined, very angry we did not learn this was a cult earlier(he was 14 when he stopped attending after reading the revelation book, he said "in all time and history, how could a trumpet blown in revelation have anything to do with a jw bible student convention statement"?.

  In my case I started with an apology. I fuc*$d up the lives of my children because of raising them in a cult. But it is what it is - lets move on and have a successful rest of our lives.

  jwfacts show that publisher growth was 15% pre- 1975 and has decline to about 2%.

  what prevents them from fudging the annual growth and keeping it at something more positive like 10%?.

  Because none of the numbers are validated from an objective external reviewer there is not much value in the numbers.

  Besides questioning the tabulation on the part of HQ, we all know that the numbers at the local level are, in many cases, bogus.

  How long until the "Generation" gets Revised/Dropped?

  if you don't already know this; the latest revision of the insight book has no mention of the "overlapping generation" bs online library, insight book .

  obviously that change will not bee seen by the vast majority of people, so when will this "brighter light" shine through in a wt or assembly talk?

  An experience at Bethel

  i was just thinking of something i observed on a visit to bethel some years back, that at the time struck me as odd, but now that i look back on it, it might be revealing about their financial situation.

  please feel free to agree/disagree with me and also bear in mind this is some years back so my memory may be sketchey.

  i remember walking into the front entrance of the bethel to do a tour.

  I was just about to make the point about slave labor, but a few beat me to it.

  Where there is no cost of labor an organization can do stupid non-productive things like this. It also shows that they have no idea how to use the skills and intellect of their employees (i.e. slaves). What a waste of human capital.
