The difference today as compared to the Judge's day is the internet. Us stubborn apostates tend to be pretty active on the internet. Just look at apostate creative reaction to Caleb and the horrible introductory video to JW Broadcasting by Lett. This has to be a force that is keeping the real power or the organization up at night.

At what point will there be more ex-JWs than active JWs?
by NewYork44M ingiven the flow out of the organization and the inability to find new recruits, there should be a tipping point where the ex's out number the actives.
has there been any discussion related to this topic?.
because many within the organization are not true believers and are in various stages of exit this calculation is some what complicated.

Does money buy happiness and a longer life? You decide...
by Brock Talon ini poured over time magazine's sep 8-15 2014 edition article "who we are" and put together this spreadsheet on the results from their poll.
i found the statistics quite fascinating.. most people would say that "money doesn't buy happiness", but this poll seems to me to indicate the exact opposite of that.
it also correlates education levels with higher earning that result in that happiness.

Wealth creates options. I always tell students not to focus on what you own, but on your equity (I am an accounting professor).
You have a duty to create value (i.e. wealth) for yourself and your family. Few people understand this. Once you understand this you will realize that money is not evil, or even the love of money. Money is only a measurement - is a yardstick evil?
By focusing on creating wealth or equity (assets - liabilities) you will have a happy life and you will attract many beautiful women, which is the root of all evil... (just kidding).
So, Brock, when was the last time you put on an Excel spreadsheet what you own and what you owe. This is an exercise that we should all do regularly and become a metric that you should compare to future measurements. Now that you have created immense wealth for yourself with your book (which I purchased, read, and liked) you need to develop a plan to create wealth.

Being skepitical is a good thing, critical analysis is another good thing. Testing theories - well that is what scientists do.
I am not sure signing this says anything other than scientists agreeing to good scientists.

I was born and raised in a JW family - we ALWAYS had turkey for Thanksgiving.
As an apostate I make sure we ALWAYS have turkey for Thanksgiving. I am not so keen on turkey leftovers, but a fresly cooked turkey with stuffin is just great.

Why do Jw's have to pay for CO's expenses?
by nolongerconfused inthis is something that has always bothered me!.
why do rank and file have to pay for co's do's expenses, car, health insurance, meals, etc, etc...?.
didn't the apostle paul say that all christians have to be self sufficient and work?, not depending on anyone else and cause a burden?.

gave him a white envelope
According to the Chinese culture a white envelope is given at funerals. Red envelopes are used for celebration. So, maybe there was a sublimial message in the cash transfer.
