so my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.
also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

Is not really that much and certainly does not justify the size of the corporate headquarters in Warrick, and around the world. If the revenue is actually true, it appears that they are woefully extended.
I would be very interested in finding out where that information came from.
when somebody posted this on fb, i was anxious to see how ridiculous it would be, probably worse then the gb prophecies, etc.
after watching the clip, i honestly don't know what to believe.
at the very least it's very entertaining and interesting.
The narrator used a lot of words. I am not sure I understand the point. If he knew 9/11 was a future event I why was his message so cryptic.
BTW, the first thing I thought about as seeing the 9/11 events was the pictures in the Paradise book about falling buildings. So, perhaps the Watchtower provided a script of these events. I often wondered if the terrorists got the idea after looking at the pictures from the Paradise book. That was one evil book.

yesterday i went for the co's last talks.
older co. his last talk was absolutely shocking.
he commanded those to be destroyed "old, men, women, children" so he started talking about how they were accountable. And going to die at Armageddon.
There are various levels of evil. This is the worst; Scaring children is just plain evil. I can remember as a child wondering, not if I will die at Armageddon, but how. The burden that I suffered as a small child growing up as a JW is not something that anyone should have to bear. I wish I believed in hell - because then I could wish your CO and everyone like him an eternity of torment.
i have some updates and new information on the downsizing in bethel.
25% of all bethelites around the world will be sent home.
in the us over 1,000 will be sent home.
i talked to a close friend that served with me as an elder for a few years.
he allowed me about an hour to explain why 607 is not the correct date for the destruction of ancient jerusalem.
i showed him all the scriptures needed and i showed him the wt magazines that proved it.
Convincing someone that they have lived a lie is important - but that just gets you to the starting point to the rest of your life. My advice is - don't do it unless you are willing to accept the rest of your responsibility.
Understanding TTATT is just the beginning of a very complicated and HARD process to create meaning to your life. This is why I am reluctant to preach TTATT. Understanding TTATT is easy, the rest is really - really hard. I don't want to be responsible for what happens next. I have my own stinkin' problems. This may be (and is) a very selfish perspective. But I don't want to be responsible for what happens after they learn TTATT.
Those well meaning people who were so happy to convince me TTATT disappeared immediately after they accomplished their goal. I really don't have warm and fuzzy feelings for these opportunists.
so we know that wt settled out of court for an undisclosed sum and that presumably there was a 'gagging order' attached to the settlement.. not having really thought about what a 'confidentiality clause' meant before, i assumed in the past that it meant that you weren't allowed to disclose the amount of the settlement or any details about it.
but from the total and absolute silence once the settlement was made, i can only assume that it is a total gagging order.. how can the courts allow such a restriction to be put on a victim?
protecting the abusers and allowing the institution to cover up the lengths they go to to avoid admitting their guilt?
The win from the perspective of victims is the cumulative incremental wins that take place over a wide range of battles. The CC case was a very big battle, the WT lost on so many levels. This in combination with the RC hearings were the most recent major losses for the WT. I am sure this played into their downsizing strategy.
The war is not over, but there is no question that Watchtower is in retreat mode.
many people are understandably upset and angry at the notion that jws have the right to shun people.
it seems such an obvious "no brainer" cruel and inhuman thing to do - it must be wrong ... surely?.
of course we look at things from the perspective of those hurt and harmed by shunning.
If they were a tax paying organization they should have a wide range of options in terms of what they teach - or don't.
Once an organization is sanctioned as a tax-free entity they must abide by specified social norms. As a tax payer, I have no interested in subsidizing bad behavior.
