this is the situation.. ten years ago two fleshly brothers and their wives, [ all are jw's and one is an elder] defrauded an elderly couple [ she was a jw/ he was friendly]out of the possession of their home and property.
one year after that, they took the life savings of the elderly couple and parked it in an account, without their knowledge.
when the old couple found out what happened, the four co-conspirators refused to return anything.
LogCon: This information, which is in my hands presently, will be put into the hands of the Office of the Public Prosecutor in British Columbia. I expect criminal charges to be laid. I will not be liable for any costs.
Sure, give it to them. Keep in mind they have a lot on their plate and may not run with it. So, don't be surprised that you never hear from them again.
i never really understood this.
at least, after i started thinking about it recently.. if jesus died for our sins, wouldn't everyone be saved?
what's the point of saying that his death gave all humans the chance to die if, appearantly, only 8 million people out of 7 billion will live?.
What would Jesus not do?

This is an amazing video. The son of god comes to earth and has the opportunity to do so much good.
i never had the privilege to serve at bethel .. therefore, community help is greatly appreciated friends.. do the gb members have their own living quarters separate from the average jw?.
does their "busy" schedule permit field service, if yes, how many hours a month?.
how long are their weekly wednesday meetings?.
Fulano2. When where you in Brooklyn Heights? I lived there from 2001-2006. Owned a co-op on Columbia Heights.

You could incur tremendous legal fees, win the case, and then find you cannot collect. I would think long and before hard fighting someone's battle. But this is just my opinion.

I lived in Brooklyn Heights and attended the meetings. There were GB members that attended the meetings. Back then they were really not the "rock stars" that you see in the current group. They went out in service. I went out in service once with Cary Barber. Although this was before he was part of the GB.
I completed a doctorate, but not in medicine. Why do you ask the question?
this is a distilled (and from memory) reconstruction of a chat awhile back.
ive dusted it off for today.. my 81 year old ex-baptist minister friend dub and i went to starbucks for coffee and conversation.
dub likes to start conversations with strangers.. today a seminary student caught his eye.
What if this conversation changed the trajectory of this young man? And that trajectory was not good. Would you feel guilty?
I don't want the burden of convincing that a person is wrong and then not providing a suitable plan B. That is a responsibility that I really can't deal with.
so im at the meeting after its over and this elder says to me that god needs my voice because he, the elder, feels that my singing is not loud enough.
i did not tell him this, but singing just is not my thing.
he then went on saying how gods people are better singers than "the worlds singers".
I thought singing was a form of prayer. Who is this elder to judge your prayer to god.

I am confused. But perhaps I am mistaken. No, I am confused. I am just happy I don't have to sit through this Watchtower study.
