i zipped thru the new organization book and can tell you that it's a waste of trees.. i think that the updated section on df'ing is mostly just a legalistic response to distance.

This is absolutely what takes place in a nutshell. In fact there is a day and a half of this coming this fall. I cant wait. If you are an elder, try to ask the CO if you could see or borrow that reference his answer will be no and he will read it again and ask you to take notes.
i haven't started a thread in some time but this is something that has got me thinking.
i want to know if i'm off-base here or if others have noticed this too.is.. over the last several months (perhaps 6-9) i feel that the tone of the wts and kms have been very strong.

Where is the joy that used to come from being a dub? The group WT studies on Friday or Saturday night to prepare for the Sunday meeting?
I find this statement to be true in many areas. Though I think it does depend on where you are. Kind of goes along with a post I started where I asked if JW's now are different than JW's 15, 20, 30 years ago. Times have changed and not all for the good.
When you get to the point that we are browsing "apostate websites" and posting on here then I tend to agree with Ithinkisee.... I try to go to the meeting and leave as soon as I possibly can without arrousing suspicion. Who wants to stay and talk about nonsense?!?

So based on this statement, if the bible forbids fornication why then does WT policy consider something such as.. say mutual masturbation a DFing offense. After all, arent you basically commiting a certain percentage of sex but not actually having sex? Shouldn't this also be a conscience matter? I know, I know, the bible also cautions against uncleanness and loose conduct but my point is that the WT seems to be modifying the bible's stance on blood.... at least their interpretation of it anyway. To build on one of the WT illustrations they reason would it be good for an alcoholic to not drink alcohol but accept it into his veins thru IV. How about this question: What if the ethyl alcohol were extracted as a fraction, could he then ingest that?
why is it that a jw is considered "spiritually sick" by the elders and the members of the congregation, if he suddenly decides to stop going to meetings and doesn't see eye to eye with the organization anymore?.
i see people who belong to other faiths, and are very active and seem spiritually healthy, even though they don't believe in what jw's teach.. .
i've been told by elders, that i was "spiritually sick".

I am sure that most of them don't. Sad but true, and this is what the elder arrangement is a sham.

There was applause in my congregation followed by a line to get the book. Nothing much new in it... well they did update the color, its a nicer shade of green now.
this is the new disfellowshipping policy from the "organized to do jehovah's will" book.
this book is now the replacement for the old "organized to accomplish our ministry" book, released in 1983. .
chapter 14: maintaining the peace and cleaness of the congregation .
Oroborus21 is correct, it is not a new policy. To be perfectly honest there isn't much new information in that book besdies the bookstudy overseer arrangement and a few adjustments.
