i just thought i'd share something if you don't mind.. my conviction in the legitimacy of the society was slowy eroded over a number of years simply by reading the publications and becoming increasingly frustrated at how little the interpretations of prophecy and scripture made sense, added to the complete ineptitude of senior figures in the organisation.. for me, the "glue" that kept everything roughly held together into something that can be called a "faith" was the concept of "increasing light", which as you all know is the principle employed by the society to excuse any mistakes or backtracks that are made.

they routinely flog proverbs 4:18, which as we all know has nothing to do with gradual refinements in understanding when read in context.

regardless of this, the concept managed to keep me loyal to the organisation for quite some time, as i was too fearful to bring it under direct scrutiny.

The "Bible Students" were they who imagined themslves < A lie.

Because the scriptures make it very clear in so many ways that

a person must be careful what "to eat".

The thread might progress, but probably not, with scriptures of warning

that there are dangers in what to believe (eat).

the manufacture of it came to the ideal.. fire drills are a test: can everybody exit in an orderly fashion in a reasonable amount of time in case there is a fire.. if you think you may be pregant you take a pregnancy test because you won't know for sure otherwise (unless you wait 9 months!).

I asked for what purpose do you believe it is for, that the spirit dwells in us?

What is the reason for Christ's Body, which is, (isn't it?) all them who have

accepted the love of the Christ to dwell with us and in us?

It is very nice to hear you again Tammy. In my year of

searching, you are my favorite poster. I was on Blble Discussion Forum

but there were several there who were inculcated with watchtower dogma.

I couldn't stand it, so I asked to be removed. And I'm a "troll", I guess.

Not on purpose, though. They won't let me even access it anymore.

I have to go to the library if I might want to read it.

I believe we are made in God's image. JWs teach the four main attributes

of Jehovah are Love Justice Wisdom Power.

There was one poster on Bible Forum who had a better interpretation

of which is which animal representation. It was very good.

My hope is that we are indeed images of the Creator, that we

have the noesis to achieve a balance of the attributes of God.

Religion is the enemy because it says if you are "good" you get

balanced for free. Or even, it is not for now, it is for the after life.

If and when the attributes of God are mature and in balance, then

we become as Jesus was, when he was a man.

John 17:3 to me means understanding God's attributes and putting

them on. To take up one's torture stake and follow Jesus means

no matter what, keep going toward the end of the goal never fearing

what might come (for Jesus it was a torture stake). I do not believe

Governing Body interpretation of the Vision Ezekiel 10:14. but I believe

as a person keeps considering the scriptures, he becomes more

aware of God's superlative ideal. I do not recommend throwing out

the baby with the bath water. Many at this forum have spent thousands

of hours reading scriptures. You all know most of them, may I please suggest

that you get to know them.

Earth question, yes, I believe it is possilbe for the least of human

kind to find a comfortable place and happy existance on Earth.

I hear you'll groaning-not! I guess you might call me a "bleeding heart",

but it is not what you think, I suppose....

For everone it is different, but good.

Hi Tammy, you wrote John 14:23 for your hope in Jesus.

Some one might interpret that scripture God and Christ will

abode with the one who is loving Jesus and listening to his words

on Earth. *** The other one might interpret it as "we" who love Jesus

will be brought to the abode with them.

I believe the first one. Why would they abode with human?

And how? Tammy, how do you understand that scripture?

And how does it cause confidence in the wisdom of man?

In other words, how does loving Jesus save the Earth?

Please know that when I say "Save the Earth" I mean for happy

habitation, I don't mean it might crack in two, for goodness sake.

New number of posts keep popping up. I guess it means I'm a liar, because I said I had no more posts and here I am again. Jehovah's Witnesses don't worship the Bible. I read Franz's book. (I have publicly admitted it, but Hazel hasn't said I'm disfellowshipped yet.) All their biggest problems come from NOT considering the Bible. Terry, did you read Crisis of Conscience ? Franze made it very clear that they did not consider the Bible. That is why his conscience allowed him to leave the organization. (God bless his wife, by the way, one of my favorite people because she acted as a Christian wife should, I believe. Stayed with him, then left with him, an excellent woman.) What Fundamentalists worship is "WE HAVE" the Bible, they don't know what it says. To know what it says is something to admire, not look down upon. There is not one person who will understand ALL of it, therefore it is not an object of worship. What I think it was was directions on "how to save the planet" for human life. Intelligent human life that evolves, if you will, into that which trusts love. It didn't happen. So now what?

My advice is to pretend you had nothing to do with the "END". Or, go find Jesus, and apologize, while your at it, might I suggest apologizing to your neighbor? He who wrote AA had the right idea. Make amends. Oh, they say death does not hurt? Not yet. Did you read my essay God in a Box ? I thought it was pretty good. Please You who are totering on mental illness, been there, done that, when I speak I am talking to everyone who might read me. I post because I believe "preach the word" . That's all I'm doing. Why, if I seem to believe it is too late, do I recommend doing something good? Who knows? Maybe the boat won't go down.

OK, I missed that part in my 20 years of "pay attention". Sorry.

I'm talking phylisophacally sic, I mean, they are getting ready to rejoice

at the destruction of WORLD because it is God's will, but it isn't.

I think it was suppose go into the evolution machine, but they wouldn't

allow it, I don't know why. Now we are so close to EARTH being devastated

that it is too late for evolution. Sorry guys, you lose. Who wins? I guess that is my point.

Nobody. Did nobody ever wonder where the theory of the rapture comes from?

The only way out is crazy*. And I do know the Sun can stand forever and the Earth too.

I also know Jehovah is true and Jesus never left helping us.

*exit stage left, not the Way is crazy, destroying the Way was crazy,

but i was born in 1956, so it isn't my fault. Unless of course....

Another belief they have: It is God's pleasure that the world be destroyed.

(Even though Jesus came for the world to be saved through him.)

AND

(even though Revelation 11:18 says He will destroy them who destroy Earth)

I have an idea, instead of putting down the lie constantly, why not put up the truth?

In case you believe "there is no truth", then are you not worse than a liar?

Man truth will say "Can't do it, If we use the lie to promote the truth then they might

feel justified, we hate them that much, we want them to suffer" Is that correct?

Can anyone else see both sides saying the exact same thing?

Here is an example for a Greek scholar with no agenda;

Ephesians 2:12

New Living traslation (2007): In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.

That is a new translation, so I will stop there.

How about? This is it transliterated: That agree (hold) the fitting season (opportunity) that one apart from (sepparate, without) annointed Messiah (christos) to alienate (estrange) the citizen body the Israel even foreign the covenant between two parties (will testament) DIATHEKE the promise (summons) expectation hope (confidence) not having even godless (atheos) at the world.

The mistake they made in translation is hope is twin with the expectation NOT with the world. They say it means "they were without hope in the world" I say it means that they were without THE EXPECTATION OF HOPE. The expectation of a promise and the expectation of the hope for the promise mean a world of difference to me. That is who I meant, I am looking for. other people who want to know what The Word SAYS, where are they?

I believe the reason that we can know the real meaning NOW is because it is being revealed in the World. Matthew 24:34 "things fulfilled". I am saying I see the things fulfilled, does anyone else? The answer so far it No, there is no one else. I know it means "expectation of hope" because I can see it. I'm desperate to know if there is anyone else who can see?

I think I did not read that in her post, that she does not "go by" the whole word. I think she said she has come to satisfactory conclusion about Jesus Christ, she need not convince herself anymore.

It is very hard to accept or reject what applies to one's self. Sometimes reading the Bible sounds like this "are you talking to me?" Can you just imagine how funny we appear sometimes to HE who knows our heart and mind? I do not reject anything the Bible says, but much of it I do not ponder. Not pondering does not mean rejection. We all like different things. We are children with different emotional and spiritual needs. That is what is so dam baffling about the Society. Why are they making everyone the same?

Dear trueone, I have seen hundreds of "mirror" images

of events and people and what the people do

described accurately in the Bible. Just as some people in the

"first" century saw in Jesus prophesy fulfilled I can see in the same

way in our day prophesy fulfilled. It fits way too well to be

coincidental events. It is real. The Bible has been examined, but

by very few who would deny their own self for it's self.

In other words, "let God be found true" not "let me be found true"

you do, it is what you want. Is what you want, for yourself or for the least one of the earth?

If the least one of the Earth has her way, then everybody is happy well, no?

Or his way, if he is an orphan. That's God's job? Isn't that what religion has become?

Let God fix it. Like the spoiled brat who says to mother "I never asked to be born".

God is not the employee of man, man ought to be imployed to do God's will,

then if most people were, we would finally be able to head for everlasting life.

But most people are not, why? Because they look forward to doom.

Do you know Satan? Tradition has it that he became envious of God. So we are left with

two troops. Lovely. One says how long do we have to live with these who believe bull shit.

The other troop says Satan wanted God's worship for himself. And who sees anyone

worshipping God? You know, the real One. You want to know what I think?
