JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES CAN'T GO TO THE RACES!
by minimus inthe wt.
of august 15, 2002 asks:"the violent and deadly gladatorial events of the roman empire have been compared to what modern spectator sports?
a recent exibit in the colosseum in rome, italy, suggested modern parallels by including video clips of bullfighting, professional boxing, auto and motorcycle races, and spectator fights at other modern sports events.early christians took to heart that jehovah does not love violence or violent ones, and neither should christians today.

Do you have Alzheimer's?
by Nanoprobe inresearchers have found that verbal memory tests were the best overall predictor of alzheimers in the elderly,
in particular, the california verbal learning test, in which volunteers were read a list of 15 words several times and then asked to recall them 20 minutes later, was nearly 100 percent accurate in predicting who would go on to eventually develop alzheimers, .
california verbal learning test (cvlt) the task is to study a list of16 words

Elder calls: "Sister Inactive, we haven't seen you at the meeting in four years, we are having a Special Talk and lots of activity this week." What he means:"Our CO is coming to visit and our numbers are down."

Music To Die By....
by hillary_step ini am told by those stupid enough to be called my friends, that i think about death far too often for comfort.
this blemish on an otherwise perfect character is probably a gift of nationality as many of my comrades seem to spend whole days toasting seats in corner cafes, lethargically discussing the latest obituary and predicting the size and quality of the tombstone.
whenever i visit the mountainous village of my birth, it strikes me that i have seen these same people drinking campari in these same bars for almost four decades.

(((((Hillary))))) I wasn't looking for tears, and I am very sorry if I made anyone feel bad.
Thank you . I have been to funerals and seen so much false love displayed.
This love wasn't shown to the person when they were alive and would have had
the opportunity to enjoy and return that love. That is why I have felt this way
about my own death. I live life now in a way that I enjoy and I am living without
regrets for the first time in my life. I don't want to give the ones who would
falsely weep the chance to do so in public, this would be a hypocritic gesture on their part.

I have lived quietly and want to go quietly. No service or false sorrow. Cremate me and dispose of me in the least expensive least emotional manner that is possible.

Tink, Sat the 7th might be better for me but I can make it either night. I told Noi about the meet up and she wants to try to make it.
I haven't talked to Darlene in years. I wasn't sure if she is active or not. Our girls played together when I lived in Lebanon, I miss her. Really hate that I lost track of Tracy too.
Sunspot, I knew the Failla's, Martin is an elder in Pulaski TN. Gerry died a few years ago of cancer. I am not sure of the rest of the family status.
