The Coming Disaffected
by Dogpatch ini received a note from an up-and-coming film producer working on a witness film, and in the conversation i mentioned:.
as soon as i finish working out the bugs on the freeminds.org site, i want to build a brand new hi-tech site that is friendly to smartphones and the younger disaffected "ex" jw crowd.
we intend to welcome all who have been abused by the abusive watchtower control techniques, whatever subculture they new are trying to identify with (if any).

I think it's great. Looking forward to it. I totally agree, that is something that has been on my mind for a while now. "what if they just throw their hands up and pull up stake?" I have much family in, and whether it is a slow crumble or a fast fall, I worry a lot about those who are really tied in. I know I want to be part of a safety net.

In Search of Christian Freedom - Missing Images in pdf version!
by 00DAD ini'm reading a pdf version of "in search of christian freedom" and got to pages 182 - 183. apparently there are supposed to be some digital images (photocopy) from the "commentary on the letter of james" but the pages have huge blank spaces where the photocopied text presumably should be!?!.
this is an authorized pdf which i purchased legally from commentary press.
has anyone else had this problem?

I had this issue with Crisis of Conscience. Altho the pics worked on the computer just not in my kindle. In the end, I just ended up buying the book. I often do that for books I tend to reference, such as in this case, or books I really love.

I have read Johannes Grebers book, and compared his New Testiment to the NWT. His NT was translated by spirits. It was really freaky to read the doctrine I grew up with in his book, and see all the major changes in the NWT in his version of the NT. Very scary stuff. NWT is a joke. Even if you think the bible in general is a joke the NWT is a joke joke haha.

The local sisters bring me watchtowers and awakes, well I don't think they will after our last discussion (long story). The last visit when she tried to leave the W&A I flat out told her, if you are not going to bring me the study edition, I am not interested. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of her expression. "well um, oh you see this has other information in it as well" I can download the study edition from their website, "well um but this has other information in it as well" I just wish I could have video'd that, it was obvious she knew, and she knew I knew.
It's sad, they can see truth about the "truth" but they wont look at it.

My first bit of unsolicited Anti-Witnessing
by Open mind ini recently crossed the line into hard-core......... a - p - o - s - t - a - s - y !
i approached a guy who was sitting alone at a table in a restaurant and discreetly, briefly gave him one example of why jws are a heartless, high-control religion.
ok, rewind the tape.

I haven't had a chance to do it with a complete stranger....yet. All my friends know however. They also know where to go on the net to pass the word along. I even have a couple of "apostate" shirts I embroided myself, that always leads to questions, and I am happy to warn away.
Most of my seed planting as been with the local witnesses. I started to study as I was thinking of going back. The thing that saved me I honestly think, was not getting into the literature. I had a few questions, get those answered and I would go back at full gusto. She couldn't answer, that caused me to start looking on my own. Wasn't long before I had the big "wake up"
Since then I have had seed plantings with the local sisters, an elder, and a CO. The CO was the big one for me on many levels. He was my first face to face with anyone since my big wake up, and for the first time in my life, I was not even the slightest bit intimidated by the fact he was a CO. What's more, I could see right thru much of his control tactics. We had a 2 1/2 hour discussion, at the end of it, I was jumping for joy, knowing I really was free of this organization. I would love for the District overseer to come over next haha. Bring them on! haha.

I don't blindly follow everything us so called "apostates" say. I don't blindly condemn either. There is much about this gentleman that I don't agree with, much of how he approaches things, just isn't my style I guess, however, this gentleman has said many things that have been helpful and encouraging. His "finds" point me to do my own research, and that too is helpful.
One doesn't have to like everyone, but that doesn't make you enemies. One doesn't have to agree with everything, but that doesn't mean there aren't valid points being talked about. He cares. That to me, makes him worth listening to.
One of the beautiful things about having a free mind today, is I am no longer told what I can read, who I can listen to, and what I can think about them. I get to make up my own mind. I repect others opinions as well, even if they differ from mine. I can often see their point of view. It is amazing to me, how being told, hearing other opinions would totally warp my own, therefore never listen to them. I am finding the opposite is true, I can respect someone elses opinion or view, and still keep my own. Viva la free mind!

Do you think Dr. Conrad Murray is guilty of killing Michael Jackson?
by Iamallcool inmy answer is yes.

Drug dealers on the street, or drug dealers with an MD behind their name, they are the same. I think the laws should be tougher on docs who are drug dealers.
Michael Jackson was a drug addict, he didn't deny that. His doctors were his suppliers, they are trying to deny that. Throw the book at him.

Reasoning from the scriptures : One who claims to believe in the bible but reject Jehovah's Organization.
It all boils down to the Organization.
Since joining the UN, even their fav scripture James 1:27 doesn't work. They are no longer without spot.
