  i just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.

  although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .

  the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.

  One thing that was very troubling to them was the amount of WOMEN partaking.

  I dont know the figures, but i had heard this was an issue for headship,,, Jesus selecting women?. how can that be,,, what status do they then hold....

  Sure there were NEW ones coming into the organisation and after a few years they would partake, these ones were disgredited easily,,

  however what do you say when ones that have been in for 30 years or so or born in's suddenly start to partake,,

  These ones cannot be claimed as mentally unstable. Their preaching is active, their minds sound, and suddenly they say we have a calling not of this earth.

  The model of decrease became a problem, the increase of women became just as big a problem..

  I was asked more than once to become a muslim, I pondered this for awhile.

  I asked them if Ala was one or many, answer yes is one., did they agree that the devil was a god of division?, answer yes..

  I asked them which sect i should join theirs or another, answer theirs,,,

  is that sunni or shia, or bora or,,, etc,,,

  d you get on with that sect or do you dislike them, do you join in worship with them,, of course answer are no,,,

  If you are from god, why are you continually fighting amoug yourselves?,,, answers were not forthcoming and subject never returned.

  BUT these people are my friends, and i respect their way and beliefs.

  We live in peace with each other and thats all i need..

  from nigerian newspaper via google alert a few minutes ago;.

  entire family, 20 others die in fatal accidenttragedy struck weekend in akwa ibom state as a man, his wife and all their children, as well as more than 20 others, all members of the jehovahs witness church, perished in a fatal road accident which occurred, friday, along the utu etim ekpo road in etim ekpo local government area of the state.. forty other members of the church sustained varying degrees of injuries following in the crash which occurred on their way to the jehovahs witness annual convention ground in ikot ekpene local government area of the state.. thisdays gathered that more than 70 members of the church had hired a lorry to convey them from ukanafun local government area to ikot ekpene for the annual district convention which began on friday and billed to end today (sunday) but the journey ended half way with many members of the church dying on the road in the accident.. eyewitnesses alleged that the driver of the lorry conveying the church members to the venue of the convention lost control of the vehicle when he got to utu etim ekpo, the junction opposite the local government secretariat, and hit the stone used to construct the roundabout, thus resulting in the lorry somersaulting, leaving many of its passengers and others wounded.. the corpses and those injured in the accident were said to have been taken to neighbouring hospitals and mortuaries.. one of the eyewitnesses, mr. friday john, said the people who died may have been more than what was seen because a whole family including parents and their children were all trapped in the accident.. we were all here discussing when suddenly the lorry appeared and was looking like the driver had lost control of it.

  then the lorry drove straight and hit the stone and somersaulted into the gutter.. many people died, more than 18. in fact, we couldnt count the number because there were many corpses, including husband, wife and children and they were all taken to the mortuary in various hospitals near etim ekpo here, john explained.. in another narration, a secondary school teacher in eka uruk eshiet etim ekpo, mr. ndipmo nkanta, said the lorry boarded by the deceased and the injured passengers was not meant for passengers but goods only.. he blamed the accident on poverty , arguing that if there was a better alternative, such casualties wouldnt have been recorded, especially as they were going to worship god.. the public relations officer of the federal road safety corps, frsc, in the state, mr. godsgift uwen, blamed the incident on over-speeding and overloading by the driver of the lorry.. he said the lorry was not supposed to carry any passenger as it was a meant for goods only but the driver stubbornly used it as a passengers vehicle, which led to the sad incident.. he advised against rush and drunken driving, especially in the yuletide, noting that these are some of the major causes of accidents on the roads.. culled from thisday".

  NO the accident is not being blamed on poverty,

  it is blamed on people that are doing illegal things within the JW community becaue they are taught that anything goes for the sake of jehovah and his organisation.

  using a truck to ferry passangers which is ilegal, maybe speeding, only GOD knows and the ones that didnt make it..

  you will hear a CO or other will as normal in the gossip smear give the speal of how they were doing wrong and it COST THEM...

  thats the cold reality, that society love.

  As for poverty, yep it is a sign just look at the WTBS, looks like they broke!...

  It was common to touch up photos with brush, as for second table the persons were not stil they had moved during the exposure hence the burred effect.

  for the guy that appears fake, i think it was an empty seat and they painted in a figure,, top artist, nicely done and at the time few would have been critical enough to know it. maybe even a likness of someone that used to sit in that place.
