  Letter to FB JWs after I found out I was DF'd

  so i said that i would post this letter that i sent out to fb jws who were still my friends on fb at the time.. a little background might be in order here.

  i was called to meet with two elders in the hall because i had filed to run for political office.

  i knew that sooner or later i would have to agree to do so.

  its been 3 years since i made my decision to fade and i am starting to think our marriage might not survive.

  my wife is under pressure from her parents to push away from me.

  the anniversay card they gave her(not me) was nothing more than jw propaganda, parts were actually highlighted.

  Are her parents nearby? If they are, is it possible for you to move away, causing you both to rely more upon each other for support, rather than her family and the cong. Just a thought.

  Why do the JW's ignore north korea?

  they watch the arabs like hawks, constantly analzying the us and uk for signs of armargeddon but what about the counrty that everyone else worrys about?

  nothing.

  its not mentioned in the mags or at the conventions, you don't hear about "experiances"tm in that country.. before i left i wasn't hardly aware that it exisisted not to mention what a terrible place it was.. theorys please?.

  this question occurred to me the other day.

  the classic jw presentation is all about how religon starts wars in gods name, how awful they are blablabla, and how soon god will end all these wars.... with a war!

  steve2-I understand the hermaphrodite conundrum, there is a physical problem going on. I have even heard of cases of circumcision gone horribly awry, and the victim being assigned to be a female for life. I'm glad there are strigent protocols involved to help people who truly feel they are the wrong sex, trapped in the wrong body. Still, the permanance! I'm afraid to any kind of aestetic surgeries because of the risk involved, much less having a remodeling of my genitals!

  steve2-Funny you should suggest Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I bought a book on this very subject about 2 weeks ago and am currently reading it, when I can get it away from hubby, it is fascinating. I have been trying to apply some of the techniques to myself, and it is quite amazing. Some parts remind me of the old time Native American lessons of embracing the icy cold, cold weather, in order to learn to live in the cold. I remember doing this as a kid in Minnesota, rather than shivering to death, welcome the cold, note how the cold feels, and then, it isn't so cold anymore.

  This is a far cry from gender identity problems, to be sure. You state that it gives you a queasy feeling over something like an arm amputation, I guess I have the same feeling regarding genitalia, once it is altered and gone, there is no going back, no changing your mind. The permanance of the procedure is scary.
