I guess you have all heard about the "pioneer walk"... or should it be the "pioneer crawl"... the common joke, but based on the truth, that pioneers walk around very slowly "to get their hours in"...........
I never found it that funny...... I kept thinking, if we have to give up college/university, good jobs, nice car, houses (to live in a room), for the sake of the ministry, then it must be something so important, something to do well, give all our effort...... it bothered me that we would just waste time, looking for ways to avoid doing ministry while on the ministry....... basically, treated it like a joke, as if it wasn't important, so if it was so I would be asking myself, why do my parents and elders think I should mess about like this, like some 'school dropout' instead of getting a career?!?! That's what annoyed me about the time-wasting attitude, what made me work hard on the ministry and get 'self-righteous' with those that didn't; but deep down, it seemed all a bit pointless, just pathetic.

Sad and hilarious at the same time.
by Shador inlol.
so my parents are studying how to convince one of their bible studies that jws are not a cult.
they just checked two different dictionaries, realized that the definitions given could, indeed, apply to jws.

Anyone who honestly looks at what the definition of cult means, will find it certainly applies to JWs.
This causes two questions......
Why don't the WBTS say that they are a cult leadership, and that it's ok to be a cult?
Is it because cults are not healthy, and they are not a healthy leadership, but actually rather passive aggressive?

"Mentally Diseased" are confirmed as offensive words of hate crime. Help needed, please.
by Amelia Ashton inmy youngest is studying law.
browsing through one of her books i came across a chapter freedom of association.
it covers the well known categories, colour, race, religion, sexuality etc.

D_F ....it's stage 3, because the WTBS constantly attacks via insults in the Watchtower, desperate to keep control of it's flock that it has kept naive.... it's like the communist Eastern European governments trying to keep the people down.... but the situation there was different - a few rebelled, and America supported them..... here, again a few JWs rebel, but America is neutral.... the JWs are a respected religion.

Yes, I seriously think some 'housewives' go out on the service because they want something to do with their time. Kids are in school, done the house work, no job... hmmm how about hang out with some other sisters. Why don't they go for a walk in the forest? or to the shops? or just get some hobby together? I think it's because they are pressured to do ministry, so they go with the others.... peer pressure.... and passive dissidence makes one accept it, because they enjoy the association; lonely at home. It really struck how much less contact I had with people when I stopped doing the pioneer hours.

WRM: Watchtower Resistance Movement
by ekruks inwhen france was invaded by the nazis, they established what was called the french resistance, which attacked the nazis.
the cause was to fight evil, so it was called a guerilla movement.
in each town, rebels would meet together secretly and sabotage the nazis, doing things such as blowing up railway lines, though they didn't attack civilians who were oppressed.. i don't see for us to fight the individuals in the organisation, because many of them are just misled, confused, brainwashed.

Well, maybe just ditch the reform idea, and instead aim to make the world aware of how bad is and also the people with, so that they will leave.
ps. The reform on child abuse, i.e. abusers can no longer be elders (except some exceptions do exist!) only arose out of the pressure from the new reports! Reform can be influenced by the outside, though that is never the given reason for it.

Cities On Moon?

there are so many people with rank and deep experience in government coming forward with these sort of stories, it is hard to believe that the media ignores it and the world goes on as if we were all alone in the cosmos.. metatron.

Thanks Flipper.... I used to watch your TV series as a kid It used to bother me that you didn't go to meetings
I really have difficulty to trust people. Well, the brotherhood is not what it portrays itself to me as, and well, people outside are taught to me as immoral, and that lack of goodness causes wars, etc.. It is difficult to not be looking over my shoulder, expecting guys to rob me or something, but then brothers have robbed me, so is a worldly guy so different

Most Witnesses have no passion for the ministry.
Why?
Do you think....
- They lack love of Christ, or God?
- They are nervous to preach... but would do such things for work/money?
- They don't really believe it is the truth, but are there to please parents/partner?
