Why is law and order not happening down there? Are they afraid to shot the thugs shooting at the choppers? Too many innocent people in the way?
Is Marshal Law declared for sure down there? Why are they not going in there with SWAT teams, whatever to help the ones who are trapped by what happened with the storm and the thugs?
all he said as we watched a little of it last night, is "and that's in the heart of the 'bible belt' of america".......... to me it was a put down of the south, and completely devoid of any understanding.
all i said was: "these people down there have nothing to begin with".
as in another thread, i cannot believe my eyes when i see these thugs are terrorizing hosptials, rescue efforts, etc.
Sounds like some down in New Orleans have turned worse than animals. They are raping women, and killing, but the news says it is unconfirmed.
I can understand alot of the looting, being pissed off at the government, trying to survive , but rape?? I am shocked.

You know, they should have had some kind of freakin' marshal law down there in some of the areas before this storm hit.
In parts of NewOrleans their everyday life is like a war zone.
The military needs to go in there now and take control.

I think they are very accurate..... Gangs in Louisiana are awful. New Orleans is filled with gangs and drugs. Ever watch Trauma: Life in the ER?
I watch that quite abit and one of the main hospitals they regularly use on this show is the charity hospital in New Orleans . The number of young men that come into that place every single day full of gun shots is ...shocking.
I live in Louisiana 5 hrs away, and there are parts here in town, you don't go down in. Drive bys, rape, drugs you name it , it is happening. So many gangs .
I just heard on the news they have unconfirmed reports of women being raped. There is no excuse for this,,,,,especially in a time like this you would think even the most hardened criminal gang banger whatever, would have some kind of soul. They don't. Sick, sick. They need to be shot.

I truly believe that to be true. The smell of homemade bisquits reminds me of my Granny , I can close my eyes and be in her kitchen .
When I want to remember my Mama, I spray on her favorite perfume,,,,,,,L'Air du Temps and I can almost feel as if she is standing by me. If I smell Final Net hairspray on some lady in a store, stop in my tracks as it too reminds me of my Mother.
Baby Magic baby lotion reminds me of my babies so clearly when I smell that, I bought some the other day to put on my 10 year old son's head , so I could snuggle him a bit....lol.

IronGland I thought of that too, I wonder if they really needed it or was it for the narcotic drugs? New Orleans has a great gang and drug problem, not to mention violence to begin with.......I just wonder why the hospitals?

First of all, why would there be "outrage", except at the US governments response?
I am so angry at the US government. Four days after this tragedy and they can't drop bottled water off even?? I don't understand it.
As far as I have heard, there still is no water to drink, no food, and dead bodies all over the Superdome.
I am sickened by the ones who are shooting the choppers..........I think the ones who are shooting the choppers there to help them should be shot. I am sorry for being so blunt but it is the majority that are shooting or a select group, I have no clue really .
The ones who are shooting , get shot, they are out of the way to save the children, the elderly, the innocent citizens who want to follow the law.

Andi I understand what you are saying that is how I feel,,,,,it hurts to see the innocent ones at the Superdome suffering, dying because of the criminals the gangs or what ever they are shooting down the choppers. I don't know ,maybe if the military shot the ones who are shooting at them ,,it might stop it........just don't know. Something has to be done with the criminals, or the ones who want to be saved and resuced out of there can be. That is just crazy.
