looky looky - A 'real' J-dub forum! (are they becoming normal???)

because last i checked, the ole boys in their oversized brooklyn bunker didn't want their members on the internet unless it was to view their own official websites.
i thought maybe it was an apostate forum until i read their long winded, typically condescending jdub style membership guidelines:.

If you are ever in a JC and the elders tell you that the WT never said the end would be here before 2000, that's a good one to use since the bound volumes are usually in the library you will be interrogated in.
I have to be honest, when the elders in my JC quit letting me ever use a bible, it was like "Mission accomplished. They are now afraid of the bible".
I seem to recall a few years ago, maybe in a KM, a list of changes in books for that year. I could be imagining things.

And yes, we all get the point. Science changes and that smacks of "new light" and you consider it untrustworthy. That's how science works. If you don't make mistakes, you're doing it wrong. If you don't realize you made mistakes, you're doing it wrong. If you can't admit your mistakes, you're not doing it at all.
We just trust a process that exposes mistakes and moves towards correcting them more than someone that hears voices in their head. Unlike proceeding from a starting point where you are sure you are right, science asks questions and becomes more right over time. I expect you to dismiss this as "not getting the point", but the reality, voices in your head aside, is that this process is proven to work. Yours isn't.
With regard to Cofty's name, Shelly, if the god in yourr head makes such a big deal out of getting its name right, you could at least show the same respect to Cofty.

Barbara, I don't think they were calling you crazy, but rather Steve. They may not have realized that the formatting on your initial post looks nothing like what Steve put together because the software used to run this forum often causes wacky formatting issues that you can't see until AFTER you post. I think it was just a miscommunication and misunderstanding.
With regard to the way you opened the post, I didn't notice it personally, but I can easily see how some would not realize you were attempting to post in the style of a neutral report. That's not criticism, just comment.
As far as the WTBS breaking the law, they routinely do that, but it's not at all clear in this case that they are doing so.

Have anyone wonder if all this sell off in Brooklyn is a knee jerk reaction to what is happening in Australia! If there is a grain of truth to this WT is going to lose alot of money.
Having all of that liquid cash would make it easier for the state to get a payout. I don't see how selling off property would help them.
I don't think this guy needs to win his case necessarily . . . in fact the 'eccentric' nature of his approach might attract more attention.
But if he simply draws enough attention, then someone in higher places will feel obliged to investigate
