Hey I was thinking...if having CYBERSEX isnt really committing fornication, and you cant be DFd for it...why would you be in trouble for a letter contact with an EXJW when there was no actual conversation or contact? Where do they draw the line? And again...nobody knows who you are so who actually knows about this contact?

it contained very little, but enough to let him know that i was in contact with outsiders about my doubts and feelings.

Issue Facing Apostates
by Mishnah inmost of the stuff posted here is negative, hateful, and blasphemous against god.
even if many of you are right in saying that the jws are wrong on many and important issues, that does not make you right.
so unless you are convinced that there is no biblical god you are facing serious trouble when you die or if the lord comes during your lifetime.

Convention Apostatizing Brings Gestapo Response
by outnfree inmy flyers merely said: if as a jehovahs witness, a member of your family has been molested information is available for further information see: www.silentlambs.org or call 1-877-wtabuse.. nothing overtly inflammatory, actually more like a public service announcement.. i guess thats what most of the local organizers and friends thought in my neck of the, woods for the first two days of the district convention!
but once the 'friends' realized that the website i was promoting with my flyers and moving car billboard was not an approved wt site, the powers that be got ... well ... pissed is the word!.
nobody bothered me on friday as i went smiling about my posting flyers on the light and utility poles on the routes to/from the convention site.

Yes the JWs are programmed...but you know and I KNOW that a bazillion of these people are ON THE EDGE in there, barely hanging on to any semblance of being a JW except to keep the heat off themselves. A sign like that might be the one thing that pushes them over the edge, makes them ACT on what they had been feeling all along. WE all went to those assemblies. I know the last TWO I went to...I wanted OUT OUT OUT!! And Im quite sure many of you did too. They are too afraid to find those phone numbers out for themselves, but when presented to them on a sign?? ...hey...many WILL call it.
The numbers bear that out...the masses are exiting and you just never know what will be the catalyst.

This is GREAT!!! Bravo!!! Next year have your son stand on a mini ladder putting the signs out of reach of anyone on foot! They wont be able to reach them to GET them down and it would make GREAT VIDEO!! What a hoot! You got balls babe you really do! Stay calm. Say as little as possible. If he goes to the elders, they will want to speak to you...but what other WITNESS does he have to these "sins"? There have to be two. And if he says he read this letter, you can play it down,,, unless you have said too much already. But you owe them no explanation and NOBODY online knows your identity. They might be forced to put you on probation...you know remove your privvies and watch you. If they cant disfellowship a person for PEDOPHILIA unless they have TWO witnesses to it..what can they do about one letter on the internet under an alias?

you seem to spend a lot of your spare time slating the society or picking holes in your former beliefs.. if you've left and think what jws believe is a load of rubbish, thtat fine, you cn do what you want, but why you have to go on about it?
if being a jw means so little to you, why not just leave it behind and get on with your life?

Yes it is true...that Jehovahs Witnesses unlike EXJWs, ALWAYS do their own research, never relying on one source, checking and cross checking against what the Bible says like the Bereans.
Yes it is true...that unlike EXJWs JWs never just BELIEVE all that they read in the Watch Tower Publications unquestioningly.
Yes...sigh..it is true...EXJWs spend their time WORTHLESSLY online talking about their old religion in NEGATIVE terms. But JWs ALWAYS speak of their old religions with nothing but LOVE and respect. The Watch Tower Publications are jam packed with articles delineating the positive and uplifting work of other churches in spreading the Good News.
Yes...oh my oh my...JWs NEVER go online and spend their time in worthless pursuit of criticizing and badgering people who used to be their brothers. Nope..nothing but LOVE and COMPASSION come off the fingertips of the Worldwide Brotherhood.
JWs never ever waste their time trying to convince other people that what they believe is untrue and that the JWs alone Own God.
Yes it is also true that JWs dont go to war. And of course NOBODY ever dies because of their beliefs by lack of life saving blood transfusions, or innoculations, or organ transplants, or by suicide from being disfellowshipped and losing their families. But by GOD they dont go to war...so they have to have the "truth."
No Jehovahs Witnesses are ever unhappy, depressed, suicidal, or have marital problems, or lack of education for good jobs or children that get involved with drugs nor do they have extramarital affairs or commit fornication or drink excessively. Of course all those articles about such things are meant for WORLDLY people only. Jehovahs Organization is a CLEAN organization. No such people exist within its walls.
All Elders are spirit appointed and are miraculously embued with the ability to solve ALL of lifes problems with just the touch of an Index. Nothing is beyond their capabilities. Their wives can be trusted implicity with even the deepest personal secrets. Wives of elders are NEVER told of what happens in judicial committee meetings.
There is no power structure within the organization. All people are equal. No one gets punished for not doing enough hours in the field service as this is...after all...voluntary.
The Society encourages...and yes LEADS the congregations by example...when being charitable to ALL human beings. Disasters such as the floods in Houston will bring out the very BEST in the Jehovahs Witnesses who will set up relief for not only their OWN people but others who have suffered in this catastrophy.
Pedophiles within the Organization are not really Jehovahs Witnesses at all...when they are caught they are disfellowshipped and the authorities are informed at once. All prior knowledge of that person is disavowed.

i just thought i would give you this card on this very important day to let you know my feelings about your decesion.. first of all i want you to know that i am very,very, proud that you have made a choice in your life to be a person of good clean moral standards and a person that has a regard for there creator and one that wants to be respected and looked up to.
that makes dad very proud.. you are probally wondering why i no longer go to meetings with the family and no longer speak of spiritual things.

God that had to be hard to write. What a mix of feelings. I am making as sure as I can that my children do not fall into the trap that I did..that they dont become JWs as their father still is. I dont know what I would do if one of them suddenly up and decided to do it anyway. It would rip me apart. Not sure Id be capable of writing a letter such as this.
I hope it eventually invites her to ask and share with you. One can only hope.

i hope all will be suitably edified by them.

Does anybody else thing being a JW is like being trapped in a time warp like the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray? Every day he would relive the day before...wake up to "I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher on the clock radio..know EXACTLY what was going to happen, what was going to be said by people and there was no ESCAPE from it all. JWism is a NIGHTMARE of epic proportions!
So some schmuck studied a freakin HOUR AND A HALF A DAY and all he saw for his efforts was an IMPROVEMENT IN HIS COMMENTS AT MEETINGS?? Oh just SHOOT me now.
Thanks for the notes babe...my husband has so far not even MENTIONED the district assembly. I wonder if he is gonna go. As it is, when he does go to meetings he goes (like today) over an hour LATE! Cant be too enthusiastic about it now can he. :)
