I called the KH- "the Memorial is tomorrow night, right?
by moshe ini called just before noon today- an elder promptly answered the phone.
i told him, " uh, memorial is tomorrow night, right?".
passover starts tomorrow night, after sundown!

I might add they got you egghead they won the debate. the point your loosing at is the time line but you seem to be arguing al around it but never confronting it head on. You see; the wtbs would have us believe that 1st century man could slaughter and bleed out an animalstarting at dusk then roast it and eat it before night fall complete, all by candle light or torch light then on this magic day in 33 ad jesus was arrested too while having waundered thru some gardens in jeruslem after eating this meal. clearly they presented scriptural proof that the slaughtering took place on the 1st day nisan 14 and the eating on the 15 yes and that is taking into account the jewish day starts at nightfall/sundown/dusk.

My brother just asked is I was one of Jehovah's witnesses
by Found Sheep inhe lives near raleigh nc so i was a mess untill i head from him.
this being the memorial i didn't want to call but i just couldn't stop thinking if he was ok. so in talking he said "mom makes it out like you are no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.
i'm not sure of what to make that (she can say some off the wall things) that was his way of asking but he never came out and asked so i just didn't say anything.

wow it is funny. 1 observation I made of this and similar situations ; my sister (younger half sister youngest of seven, 10 years younger then the youngest of the 1st 6 very spoiled) very indoctrinated. She had this attitude all the time like people had to be punished always concerned about people getting their punishment, even tho as a child she never got any always had that special place common to that sort of family dinamic. I asked her once if she thought it was her job to make sure everyone got their punishment and if she really enjoyed it as much as she let on. Ya she's the type that thought everybody should know why someone is being shunned in a public place. Her and my father and step mom could carry on a conversation in public about this crap and how dare that disfellowship walk by me, out loud mind you. lmao it makes them sound so crazy as if anyone especially nonjws should know these wierd customs. I'm glad they couldn't control you.

The strangest looking (and acting) nut jobs you have ever seen at the KH!
by new boy inthere are so many after after 52 years in the "borg".. my top two would have to be at my last hall tigard oregon.. one lady slept in her pickup truck with 30 parakeets, sometimes in the kh parking lot.
people tried to help her with accommodations but she like the truck.
she really dressed up for the meetings......feather boa's, big hats, looked like may west from the 30's.

great were screwed! but what are we supposed to do, what can we do i see these things i've seen it going on for years but i cant stop it. i cant even stop myself from buying the cheepest deal on milk or soda at walmart. if i had a magic wand but neither side of the isle will do anything they both talk like they want jobs here or business but at the end of the day. we still havent stopped a juggernaut.

i wore boots to the meeting but dress boots(not to dressy just like you see at the spanish halls when i was growing up even some white bro's older one's do that western style) i tried to get away with it cause of the mexican thing but i got made fun of a couple of times so i stopped . i always felt wierd just being a dub i tried hard to look normal i got wierdos in my jdub family and all their friends too. 1 sister i knew of wouldnt wear red cuz she thought it was the devil's color. a family named the twitty's would travel from hall to hall free loading cuz they all pioneered after 3 years or so they would move on the dad played the piano. some loved them some hated them. my step sisters the middle one stole the younger one's hubby even tho the younger one is beautiful(and i do mean that as a brother i can still know my sis is beautiful. as a kid a stood up to men for her). I really feel insecure about it tho i knew stranger people then me but always being an outsider i felt like the wierdo and really just longed to be normal. i did rebel from the dub life in teens and when i came back felt more like the wierdo with them. funny out of the dub life i well balanced and it doesnt bother me at all .

cool thanks band ! One added observation is when i had doubts or felt unhappy about being a jw my jw side of the family tried to say i was bipolar and actually succeeded in spreading that rumor. Btw i have nothing against that disorder or anyone suffering from it. One of my brothers has has that diagnosis with borderline schizo something or other. It doesnt mean schizophrenia as the name would suggest. i looked it up before there are several diagnosis with similar sounding names i just forgot the exact name of his, but needless to say when balanced out he functions well and its not something he chose and he really manages himself well now a days.(he spent many years undiagnosed and it was very hard on him he was very irratable and angry and emotional) any diagnoses like these is not the fault of the patient and doesnt preclude deviousness but can hamper perception of reality and what have you basically i'm trying to say i have deep respect for anyone with these disorders.it just sucks the cult diminishes ones feelings by mislabeling people and in the same stroke insulting people innocently suffering by using their condition as an insult. capisce?
