i've just finished an article for randy over on freeminds.org, which i've submitted to him for review.

hopefully it should be online soon, so please keep checking!.

the article discusses the fact that the watch tower society is already in decline, and suggests the year 2005 as the turning point.

Thanks to Cedars & all the insight from everyone else. Just knowing that this cult is swirling in the bowl warms my heart. Make no mistake though as far as the end of this cult. It will only end when the money ends.

i was in cub scouts and boy scouts.

dad and i went to lot's of camping trips.

30-minute Public Talk = More association ???

it's been nearly 5 years since the letter was read at the end of the service meeting.

the society would lovingly decrease the public talk to a brief 30 minutes, eliminating the 15-minute doom-and-gloom introduction and thereby resulting in lower heating and air-conditioning costs allowing for more "association" after the meeting.... for those who still go to meetings... do you find that there is any more association with the 30-min public talk when compared to the former 45-min public talk?.

When I was a kid it was 2 hrs. with a 15 minute intermission.

Thinking about disassociating yourself - STOP!...at least for a moment

(this recent forum post about a letter of disassociation encouraged me to post this new topic.

it's been sitting in my drafts folder for a little while, but now is as good a time as any.).

my suggestion would be, try not to go down the route of disassociation.

My daughter did the fade. It's been 12 yrs. She still is welcome by Witnesses. No one has pressured her about her relationship in all that time. Married a great guy. (Non Witness) Enjoys all the holidays with my wife & I. After a while, nobody in the cult gives a crap. This might work for some of you.

I was in for 50 years. Life on hold, always waiting for an end that didn't come. Sacrificing so many things. Finally got out. Here's a short list of the many good things I've accumulated since I left. How about you?

1. Remarried a loving wonderful woman.

2. Building a new home. Finally building one with a shop attached.(All guys need a shop.)

3. Cruise to the Caribbean usually twice a year.(Sure do miss them assemblies. Maybe I should take magazines & pass them out on the Lido deck.)

4. Got tattoos. No longer looking over my shoulder for judgemental Zealots.

5. Really enjoy birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mothers' Day & Fathers' Day. Actually got remarried on St.Valentine's Day.

6. Get to smile at the pathetic car groups huddled in Tim Hortons on Saturday mornings. (Need to build more of them in NY)

7. Deep satisfaction in knowing the real "Truth"'.

What apostates fail to recognize is...

you can cut & paste all the excerpts from articles you want...you can leak all the boe letters, you can pretend to be witnesses and come to the conventions and meetings...but.

no other organization can begin to rival the success and magnitude of the prophecy found in mt 24:14. so apostates....don't waste your time spending countless hours digging up articles and reading books to convince yourself to turn away from jh's organization.

no matter what "evidence" you find you cannot ignore the obvious fulfillment of matthew 24:14.. .

Great observation LL. I've always gotten some comfort in the belief that the GB was entitled to the same fate as the Scribes & Pharisees. They fit the 23rd chapter so well.
