  elder commits suicide.....need advice

  hey everybody,.

  my sister-in-law's brother took his life sunday afternoon.

  it has been devastating to her and her family.

  A few years back my youngest son was getting married to a pioneer sister. He was excited of course and when the CO came to visit he told the CO who he was marrying. He said congratulations and asked him when he was going to sign up to be a regular pioneer himself.

  Well My son told him that wasn't possible as he was now working full time to provide for himself and his future wife. The CO shook his head and said "I hope that pioneer sister you are marrying can talk some sense into you, and that you don't bring her down".

  So much for encouragement.

  We don't sit around much in the winter but I'm not into that X-country skiing at all. I have a pair of showshoes and manage to squish a little snow each day.

  But I love my fair weather sports the most. In fact last weekend I even went scuba diving. Yes I had to break the ice to get in, but it's better than TV.

  did you ever really believe armaggedon was just about to happen?.

  maybe to such a degree that you were scared or made major changes in your life?.

  i'm not old enought to remmeber 1975 but with the gulf war a lot of people got scared and believed the end was coming ( including me).. werent we doing the revelation book at the time?.

  I am a scuba diver and I actually did stop doing it for several years, trying to fit into the borg mould. It is the bad association that is thier main concern for school sports and then it's the "respect" you show for the life Jehovah gave you. Yes Jehovah gave us life and the WBTS took it away.

  Allergic To The Kingdom Hall!

  At our old hall many were allergic to the smells. Perfumes were the cause of several local needs talks. But some of those sisters would just bathe in that smelly stuff. My eyes would water when they walked by, but you couldn't stop them from stinking.

  We had many with bad enough allergies that they took their meetings over the telephone, except a book study that was for people that couldn't tolerate the stink.

  To be honest I don't think any of them were being phoney about the problems. They really did have troubles with it.
