  I kind of agree with Violia. I feel the WT has something up their shelves. They must think by going to court they will win some legal victory that will show everybody they have the freedom to do want they want to and God is on their side. I hope and pray this will backfire in their face. And expose them for what they are. Totally ADD

  David and Goliath situation in Australia

  in light of the thread on mr unthanks case gaining momentum i wonder:.

  this is a real david and goliath situation.. it almost seems to good to be true that one man could cripple a multinational corporation.

  all the publicity focused on the catholic church doesn't seem to have hurt them overall, it's almost like these behemoths grow so big that nothing touches them.. has a similar thing happened before?

  I can tell you this. Before I quit being a elder I would tell certain friends of mine about the child abuse that has taken place in the JW cult. Many were shock and did not know anything about it. It is kind of a hidden secret among the friends only some of the elders know about it. When I would talk to CO's about it they were always surprise I knew anything about it. Fact was I only knew what I have seen in our area congregations not the world wide problem. The point I am getting at is if this gets out into the main stream news and the WT cult is exposed to all to see. This will shake the faithful to their very bone. Most do not know about this big problem with child abuse. I said from the very beginning back in the early 90's when a very public child abuse case in the Tampa Bay area broke out that the WT should be very open with it and clean up the mess. But instead they went into denial and set up road blocks everywhere to stop any imformation from coming out. They just don't get it as leaders of a large religious organization you cannot allow children being hurt and think you will get away with it. Eventually you have to pay the price. Totally ADD

  my ex wifes mother is dying.

  (perhaps even today).

  i understand from my daughter that the has something that may be like aplastic anemia.. i guess that even with the forbidden blood tranfusions she would be on a short leash time wise...any one know?.

  Sorry to here about your ex mother in law. I do have a question maybe Sizemik can answer it. Don't mostly young adults get thisi illness? I have never heard of a old person get it. I sure I am wrong but I was just wondering. Maybe this will open another door in your life to help someone out of the cult. Take care. Totally ADD

  we all are gifted with something.. i would say that i am gifted with a great sense of humor and i'm told i'm very discerning and perceptive.. now, if you asked me to hammer a nail, i'd think about getting a screwdriver...... .

  i had a nervous breakdown, growing up in a very strict, abusive religious community that you know of.. .

  living throughout the world in modern 21st-century cities, we strongly believe the end of the world is nigh due to moral decline, and thoroughly follow a moral code which i respect, seeing drugs etc.

  do harm people.

  Very harsh story. For one who is a born-in and went through lots of abuse go for it. Everybody's story is diffrent but shows how abusive JW cult is. What people may not understand is no matter what the abuse is, it all has the same effect. I would read it. My problem is sometimes when reading such things it brings up bad feelings because I relate to so many things you all went through. When you write a book on a subject that is so dark it is always good to see a postive ending to the story. Give all those who have gone through similar abuse hope they can be happy again. That's my thinking on it. On the lighter side make sure you write it on a 5 grade level so all of us who have a JWU education can understand it. LOL Good luck on your project. Totally ADD

  Aug. 15th WT - WT Society Dissing Internet Again - All JW's Beware !

  we always know when the gb or wt leaders are nervous and worried about potential alleged " threats " to jehovah's witnesses - because they repetitively keep mentioning these perceived " threats " in talks at assemblies or in wt articles constantly.. the " witness only " august 15th wt is no different.

  in a non-study article entitled " the internet - making wise use of a global tool " once again the wt society instills doubt and fear into witnesses by " warning " them about use of the internet.

  3 " while the internet can provide valuable information, save us time, and serve a useful function, it can also misinform us, consune an inordinate amount of our time, and corrupt us morally.

  Yes as an elder. To many to count. Handle everything from simple fornication, beastiality or for me to get through it I called it puppy love to murder. Just as Dozy said some elders were very loving and kind others were useless and several were real assholes. There was only a few who I was responsible in their DF that really deserved it. They were really bad and I mean very bad people. The rest I always chose mercy. I always felt they needed help not kick out. Even though everytime a CO came into town he always wanted to know why we did not DF so and so. At the time I felt I was doing God's work. Keeping the congregation clean. Turth be told no elder in the JW cult is trained properly to make these serious decision. Since I woke up I look back and see how much harm I could of caused and probably did. I would not and will not do that ever again. I am glad I am out of the cult. Totally ADD

  ME AND MUMMATRON!

  we met yesterday and spent a great day together with our children!

  my own little apostfest if you will........ i was on here recently bemoning the fact i had lost all my "wordly friends" (well, not lost, i gave them away and let them go to my shame).

  since the jw began ignoring me, i became more and more isolated, and had nobody really, its so good to meet a new friend and we had a fantastic day, shared a meal at my house, and enjoyed the sunshine....... i just wanted to share with you all.

  Which did you like better: The Watchtower or Awake? ...and why?

  i always liked the awake better because it wasn't as preachy.

  less analyzing of what minute thing some guy in a robe and sandals did thousands of years ago and its application for our day.

  the awake seemed more secular and less dogmatic.

  With my degree from JWU I like reading the Awake. With my degreee I was able to understand the simple format the Awake has. I was able to understand all the facets of science and life according to the WT. Just a few months ago I learned all about computers and how they work. I have learned how evil this world really is by reading watching the world. Yes you to can have a degree at JWU. Just read only the Awake and nothing else and you will be just a intelligent as the GB. LOL Seriously I never liked the WT. As a born-in reading all that gloom and doom would make me sick. The Awake at lease had something else to think about besides the WT ideas on the Bible. Totally ADD
