Are you going to heaven?
by compound complex ingreetings:are you convinced (with all due humility, of course) of your future destination according to religious beliefs?
perhaps you'd simply like to journey through outer space, but return eventually to our beautiful planet, earth .

How did that MYSTERIOUS transition from Russell to Rutherford happen?
by Terry in"judge" josephh rutherford helped pastor russell draft his last will and testament.
as legal advisor this was fitting.
russell never stated that they were to only publish his writings.

I so remember when the WT talked about their history of this matter they always demonized the board of directors for trying to take over. And always made rutherford the champion of jehovah. Rutherford was truly a socialpath. Totally ADD

Points well taken Roberta84, sooner 7ac and stilin. Which direction should we go? What would be better? Should we just leave it alone or overhaul the whole system. For myself I don't have a good answer. But like I said it's a start. At lease Obanacare has got everybody talking and wanting the program changed. In a preverted way it is forcing us to vote for national healthcare or no national healthcare. I do feel like designs in why can't we look at what other nations have done and use the best of there plans making a affordable health care system. Can't have your cake and eat it to. Againg my 2 cent's worth. Totally ADD

It's a start. But not the best solution to the problem of health care. Maybe one of these days the U.S. will come into the 21st century. Stop listening to fundamental reglionist backed politicians would be a good start. I feel insurance companies should have been left out of the formula and had a single payer instead. The reason health care is so expensive is the hold insruance companies have on everything. I feel preventive care is a very good idea which is part of ObamaCare but sugar, cola, junkfood, tobacco and many other industries will fight tooth and nail against anything like that. Anyway that's my 2 cent's worth. Totally ADD

Great quiz Terry. On question #9. They may have taught no vaccinations between 1931-1952 but many JW keep that ban going on well into the 1960's. I know where I lived in Central IL my parents told me I could not have any vaccinations because the WT said so. I was born in 1954. I quess back then imformation was slower to get out into the farmland. Totally ADD

Many of the things you went through I also went through. So I understand to a point how you feel. All I can say is both you and your wife are very brave to get out of the control of the JW cult. Welcome. My hope is as time goes on you and your wife will come to terms of all the abuse you went through. And become the true person you deserve to be. Best of luck to both of you. Totally ADD

I'm new here
by WrongweektostopsniffingGlue ini haven't got much of a story.
i'm in my late teens, grew up in it, and got out of the society's regime by the skin of my teeth.
nearly go baptized because i firmly did believe it was the "truth" but because of a gut feeling that held me back, that i almost ignored, i didn't sign my blood to big brother.

You are such a good person. I don't need a copy we have both CC books. Do you think it was a JW who took the books from your local library? Also a little side note could you please keep your cold air up there in Ontario? It's April 2 and we had 2 inches of snow on the ground today with Temp. about 20 degrees below normal for our highs. I want to start gardening and it's to cold. LOL I really loved the picture of you protesting the WT. You have such spunk. Keep it up. Being active is what keeps us going. Take Care. Totally ADD
