Just a thought maybe those we think were spiritual were just very guilty. And this guilt forces them to do what they think is spiritual activity. I felt the same way how everyone around me appeared be more spirtual than me pushing themselves to go out in service and meeting attendance. At the same time let what I called more important things like familiy and children left to fend for themselves. Guilt is the driving force of the WT cult not being spiritual. Totally ADD

Opinion-Is This Clear Evidence that Jehovah's Holy Spirit is with The Watchtower?
by DavinciCodeBreaker ini was having a discussion with an aquaintance about if there was evidence that the watchtower has jehovah's holy spirit.
he said, "given the fact that no other organization has won more supreme court cases than jehovah's witnesses to protect their religious freedom in north america and abroad is unrefutable evidence of jehovah's blessing by means of his holy spirit".. your thoughts?.

I have to go along with cantleave. According to your JW friend winning court cases means you have Jehovah's Holy Spirit. Will I guess all those other religions must have Jehovah's Holy Spirit also because they are benefiting from those court decisions. How about the Catholic religion they been around for 1700 years I guess God is blessing them also. You could use any reason in the book to try to convince yourself that God is blessing you. The Real Issues Facing former Jehovah's Witnesses
by AllTimeJeff inon internet forums such as these, it is to be expected that there will be people who want to save jw's.
esp from (thinking for) themselves.. however, the real dillema's facing an ex jw who leaves, whether on their own terms or being disfellowshipped are real and haven't changed.. .
lonliness, how to make friends, is a big issue.. fear, esp fear based on superstition, a fear of god and of the future that is not in any way based in proveable fact.. education, how to think and reason critically to avoid being taken advantage of is a big challenge.. love, sex, and how to navigate your way around all of that hot mess.. geez, yeah, forgot.

I lurked for a long time before signing up on this forum. But during that time of lurking was a time of learning. When I sign up it was not only a time of more learning but healing. When I am down you guys pull me up when others are down I hope I am helping in pulling others up. AllTimeJeff is right when former JW's come on this board they are very vulnerable and they do need there space but at the same time those who have found relgion should express their viewpoint as will. Just remember many of us are coming out very bitter. When you are angry all you mostly want is someone to listen to you. Mostly thats what a good therapist does except the therapist also gives the patient emotional or mental tools to work with to help understand why you feel that way and what you can do to change it for the better. And in many ways that is what this forum does for many. The job we all have is to recognize what tools will work for us and what ones will not. That is why therapist are paid the big bucks to help you understand what you need. Here you need to kind of sort out what you feel you need. Until you can afford it this is a great place to become whole again. Totally ADD

Sorry MrFreeze I did not mean to take away from your thread. I wrote the post last evening when my ritalin wore off. LOL When it comes to conventions I am so glad I don't go to them anymore. I hated seating all day long in a place meant for only a few hours watching a sporting event. My butt and back would hurt for days after that. All I got out of most of them was 110 mini naps. But on the bright side everyone around me thought I was agreeing with the talk. I will sending you a PM. Totally ADD

Hi MrFreeze. I to will not be going to the DC. But this is my third one I will miss. Hey I got a great idea how bout Reopened Mind and me plus HappyDad and you get together someday. We live just about 2 hours from you all. Or maybe you all come up to our log cabin for a cook out. Maybe we could get Jamiebower from OH to come up also. I think there is also some from Cleveland OH we could invite. How about labor Day weekend? Just a thought. Totally ADD

by Marvin Shilmer inundue conformity look what happens!.
today i uploaded a new article sharing what watchtower shows as the result of undue conformity.
this image may look familiar to some folks, but it should make everyone under the influence of watchtowers governing body take a close look at themselves.
