  What books, songs, artists, movies, etc were banned in your JW home?

  my mother was very strict about entertainment.

  in school i was doing a project about teen suicide and had checked out some books on suicide and abortion.

  i had alot of explaining to do for that.

  i have a lovely wife and three beautiful children, i am so grateful to my wife who rejected the truth, when i was considering renewing my interest in the jehovahs witnesses, now i am philosophical deist rejecting atheism, it seems to me the sensibly option, after reading the bible and its hatred for the majority of mankind!.

  i am surprised how many active jws there are on facebook.. has the society ever put anything in print discouraging facebook in particular?

  would someone on facebook be viewed as "weak spiritually"?.

  was facebook named in outlines of convention talks?

  i must say, i have had so much fun on this site - some real laugh out loud moments for my friends and i to enjoy.. no need to respond - i am busy pioneering from tomorrow, so will no longer have time on my hands to sit at my pc enjoying laughing at your pathetic comments.

  We recently took ours to a bookstore that buys ALL old books. THEY wouldn't even buy them. So we left them there and ran off in our car.

  Having the Circuit Oversear over for dinner...was it like a royal visit for you??

  i rang a sister who i haven't spoken to for years who said "she couldn't talk since she was cooking for the c.o and his wife who have special dietary needs......was this like a royal visits at your cong and whats with the "we can't eat flour, or yeast" or blah blah blah!

  Dad and I signed up to take the C.O. out to dinner with us. He said that his wife COULD NOT make it and it would be good if we invited another person to go with us making it a foursome. We take him to an expensive French restaurant. After dinner he says he wants to order another plate to take home to his wife...WHAT? If we would have known that we wouldn't have invited the other person to go with us on HIS suggestion. Such an inconsiderate bastard he truly was. Here we were knowing most brothers just have him in their houses for a simple meal and we wanted to treat him like royalty and he pulls this crap. We called him Blinkie. He was a C.O. from Georgia. He blinked ALOT!

  how important was the hope of the paradise to you? and what do you hope in now?

  I am having a good time right now. If I die at Armaggedon so be it. I haven't been a wicked person in my opinion. I didn't go out to harm others etc. I am not out killing others. IF the witness teachings are true then we will all be killed by Jah. I don't want to be in paradise if the witnesses are correct. IT would be slavery.

  i visited one of my favorite places, the natural history museum, where i stared contemplatively at lucy.

  Our Stories and Why They Matter

  stories are perhaps the most important thing we can contribute to others in our short life on planet earth.. mind you, i am not saying that stories are the most important things in our lives, because they are not.

  the most important things in our lives are experiences, which are moment-by-moment things.

  the best we can do with our own experiences is to tell stories about them, which will never convey the actual living of them.
