Why can't Scarlett Johansson play a transgender character?

scarlett johansson was cast to play a transgender role in rub & tug.. recently she pulled out.

i don't know whether she jumped or was pushed but trans activists, despite claiming to represent only 0.3% of the population, have quite a powerful voice.. do they want a trans actor to play the trans role, is that it?.

if scarlett johansson shouldn't play a trans role, does that mean a trans actor shouldn't play a cis role?.

The first step is to get your computer in the right “format”. So go to search and type “cmd”. When you see the command prompt app, right click and run “as Administrator”.
One more step. Type:
format -f -r C:

based on your recent discussion with @recovering, what do you think about debate threads?

I wouldn’t try to completely imitate full fledged debate sites. They have mechanisms to propose a debate resolution, some argue in the affirmative, negative, user 1 gets an opening statement, then user 2, then three rebuttals etc. Some even have word limits and response timers. That’s too complicated IMHO.
A simple flow would be user 1 invites user 2. User 1 can accept or deny. If deny, then the thread goes away. If accept, the it stays for only the two users. People can vote. Maybe that’s all.
But I completely get what you are saying about general discussion.
I like the idea of a thread “tree” though. vBulletin has something like that. Any thread can have sub-threads, so it’s like little individual conversations. If two people go off on something, it doesn’t disrupt the entire thread. If your “posts” table has a thread ID, you could probably get away with just adding a parent post ID. Tough part would be managing the tree styles and lazy loading ...
Ahh well, just thought I would throw it out there.

I heard you are working on a new forum. Based on your recent discussion with @recovering, what do you think about debate threads? You would just need a mechanism for limiting the posters to two (or a few) users.
People could comment in a “peanut gallery” thread (normal thread). Initially you wouldn’t even have to build in response time limits, just limit the valid posters to a thread.
Thoughts?

my mom's family is mostly jws.

during her second marriage, i attended the weekly meeting and sunday meetings (by my own choice) with a family in the very small town we lived, since my mom didn’t attend.

Another note: there are two ways Muslims are guaranteed paradise.
1 - kill or be killed in the name of Allah.
2- emigrate in the name of Allah.
#2 seems glossed over so many times-especially for the purposes of threads like this. For those Muslims that don’t want to kill, no worries. Just move to another country and refuse to integrate. This is exactly what is happening to Europe.
To integrate would mean to accept that whatever religious law you might have now comes second to the laws of the new home country.
I think you said you like the “melting pot” analogy. To be part of the melting pot, you have to accept being in the pot, not replacing it.
