I don't think guys like Lil Morphy are doing anyone any favors.
He strikes me as a city boi who has embraced guns to make himself feel like a tough guy.
But, Lil Morphy is just a bully. I don't hate guns, but I do hate bullies. Internet bullies are the most pathetic breed of bully because they know that most people will not be able to track them down and...

What argument have I lost?
You wrongly assume that I am a liberal.
I just think that Lil Morphy is a barely literate blowhard.
I come from a background where a gun is simply a practical tool. (Sometimes a tool to intimidate game wardens when your family is caught fishing for salmon with dynamite, or when poaching deer in the Cascade range.)
But it's not an extension of your willy. (That's right Lil Morphy, it's your, not you're.)
In the end, people like Lil Morphy will detract from our rights.
Also, as Lil Morphy would condescendingly say with a sigh and a facepalm, you need to work on you're (sic) reading comprehension ASSUALT is simply not a word in the English language.
I will avoid fondling my guns and go fondle my very sharp knife collection...

In Oregon the laws are great!
A meth head can break in to your house and you are supposed to run.
You can only defend yourself if you feel that the intruder is actively trying to harm you.
If the intruder lives, and says you're lying and he wasn't trying to harm you, he gets to sue you for damages. Apparently, this usually goes worse for the home owner. The tweaker has nothing to lose.
The common feeling here with gun owners is that you are effectively forced to kill if you are planning on defending yourself and your family.

France's niqab ban violates human rights, UN panel says
by Richard_I inhttps://www.cbc.ca/news/world/france-ban-islamic-veil-niqab-human-rights-united-nations-1.4874465.
“the un human rights committee said tuesday that france's ban on the niqab was a violation of human rights, and it called on the government to review the legislation.. france had failed to make the case for its ban, the committee said, giving paris 180 days to report back to say what actions it had taken.
the panel's findings are not legally binding but could influence french courts.. .

I was just in France a few weeks ago. Saw a few Muslim women wearing medical face masks, apparently trying to get around the law. Of course, their husbands wore normal clothing.

Jamal Khashoggi began his career as a regional manager for Tihama Bookstores from 1983 to 1984.[25] Later he worked as a correspondent for the Saudi Gazette and as an assistant manager for Okaz from 1985 to 1987.[25] He continued his career as a reporter for various daily and weekly Arab newspapers from 1987 to 1990, including Al Sharq Al Awsat, Al Majalla and Al Muslimoon.[6][25] Khashoggi became managing editor and acting editor-in-chief of Al Madina in 1991 and his tenure in that position lasted until 1999.[25]
From 1991 to 1999, he was a foreign correspondent in such countries as Afghanistan, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan, and in the Middle East.[6] It is also claimed that he served with both Saudi Arabian Intelligence Agency and possibly the United States in Afghanistan during this period.[26] He then was appointed a deputy editor-in-chief of Arab News, and served in the post from 1999 to 2003.[27]
Khashoggi and Tamara Cofman Wittes during Project on Middle East Democracy's "Mohammed bin Salman's Saudi Arabia: A Deeper Look."Khashoggi became the editor-in-chief of the Saudi Arabian daily Al Watan for a short period, less than two months, in 2003.[6][28][29][27] He was fired in May 2003 by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Information because he had allowed a columnist to criticize the Islamic scholar Ibn Taymiyya (1263–1328), who is considered the founding father of Wahhabism.[30] This incident led to Khashoggi's reputation in the West as a liberal progressive.[31]
Not a journalist? Facepalm x10.

Rick Fearon - Six Screens of the Watchtower
by dubstepped inso a friend today asked me what his deal is and i honestly don't know.
i saw someone post about his accusations that the doj is investigating watchtower and people seemed down on the guy, as well has johnny the bethelite or whatever his name is that claims to leak stuff.
i don't know rick fearon, don't watch his show, but his site just seems a little crazy, and he seems to get into occult conspiracies and the jws, which never lends credibility.. so for those of you who have been around a while, what's the deal?
