i am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself.
i was raised a witness, never baptized (yay) and am married to a lovely baptized witness of jehovah.. i had been trying to get back into it due to both our families being j dbs but just never could get it into my heart.

some of you may know my situation.
i'm still going to meetings, but i am a closet apostate and homosexual i. only keep going to meetings to please my family and some friends.
i guess i could tell my mom i no longer want to be a jehovah's witness and stop going to meetings, but i'm too scared to do it.

is a lot of good advice and help here,
but in the end you are the one who will be
living with your decision.
Make it one that you can actually live with.
There is no hurry. You may still need what
your family has to offer you .......... do not
feel that you have to prove anything by leaving.

Just be alert to the LOVE bombing that you
will probably receive ....that's how it starts.
The repetative rituals & "lessons" that are
spewed out in the 4 meetings every week is
how they systematically programn your mind.
If you are aware of this ....you should be fine.

my brother called to chat, which is shocking from the man of few words, off the cuff i let him know last weekend i learned that the outrageous socks he wears are inappropriate.
i let him know i would no longer be associating with him and the fact that he has been inactive for the past 10 years he has blood on his hands and i didnt want that dripping all over my freshly cleaned floors.
i also told him the internet was no longer naughty, but the fact that he wasn't an ms ever, showed his lack of spiritual maturity.

im new here, and dont know much about jw, other than what im reading.
i have my best friend who is having bible study in her home with 2 witnesses, and she is soaking it in.
she is very defensive and is getting more and more closed off.

They slyly warn that friends & family will argue & say
NOT to study with jehovah's witnesses!
Then, the jw's tell you not to listen to your family,because
Satan is just using your loved ones to try to make you stop
studying, and then of course when this does happen...
