i live in a townhome complex.

a few days ago i asked the property manager to ask the local kingdom hall to no longer place wtbts literature (propaganda) at the complex because the area is posted as no solicitation and because the literature is sometimes blown away from doors becoming litter.. today i received a response that the kingdom hall agreed to no longer place literature at the complex and to let him know if wtbts literature is placed at the complex.

i was shocked how easy it was for the kh representative to agree to no longer place literature at the complex.

How do you feel that the local KH would respond if I asked the property manager to send the KH a written letter like the following?

Dear Local Kingdom Hall,

Please put the Townhome complex on the Kingdom Hall's "Do not Call List" indefinately so that Jehovah's Witnesses do not go door-to-door to place Watchtower literature with residents of the townhome complex. Compliants about Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on doors and/or leaving literature at doors that have blown away by the wind to become litter have been lodged with the Property Manager of the Complex by owners/residents. "No Soliciting" signs are posted at the entrances to streets into the complex and apply to religious groups like the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Besides being annoyed by unannounced door knocking and litter, some residents are concerned about Jehovah's Witnesses coming into contact with children that live in the complex. What are the Watchtower's child protection policies? Are Jehovah's Witnesses that go door-to-door been screened for child abuse and/or molestation by local law enforcement by being finger-printed? Are Jehovah's Witnesses required to immediately contact local law enforcement instead of the Watchtower when a Jehovah's Witness is suspected of abusing or molesting a child? Law suits against the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses such as the Candace Conti's, etc. lawsuits concern some residents with Jehovah's Witnesses soliciting at the complex.

I live in a townhome complex. A few days ago I asked the property manager to ask the local Kingdom Hall to no longer place WTBTS literature (propaganda) at the complex because the area is posted as no solicitation and because the literature is sometimes blown away from doors becoming litter.

Today I received a response that the Kingdom Hall agreed to no longer place literature at the complex and to let him know if WTBTS literature is placed at the complex. I was shocked how easy it was for the KH representative to agree to no longer place literature at the complex. Because the WTBTS promotes using "Theocratic Warfare Strategy", I wonder if JWs will stop going D2D at the complex, will stop until next year, or will ignor the request. I thanked the property manager and asked him if the KH representative said that he put/would put the complex on the KH's "Do not Call List"? It will be interesting to see what happens.

Also, I wonder if the local KH will create a propaganda cart at a local mall soon. I doubt it, because local malls would probably want to be paid rent. Unlike in Europe or small towns, most shoppers go to malls in the USA instead of to a town center. Also, there are no public transportation venues where I live.

Apognophos - Here's a riddle: why would propagandists inform their victims about propaganda?

Is it to frame the answer in such a way as to create plausible cognitive dissonnance (The Art of Lying to Yourself ) in the mind of a reader (i.e., JW) and to minimize the possibility that the reader will do their own independent research and critically think for themselves?

The WTBTS use the same principles to refute that they are a cult like, "Are Jehovah’s Witnesses a Cult? Compare two common perceptions regarding cults with the facts about Jehovah’s Witnesses.":

Some think of a cult as being a new or unorthodox religion.Jehovah’s Witnesses have not invented a new religion. On the contrary, we pattern our worship after that of the first-century Christians, whose example and teachings were recorded in the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) We believe that the Holy Scriptures should be the authority on what is orthodox in matters of worship.
Some think of a cult as being a dangerous religious sect with a human leader. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not look to any human as their leader. Rather, we adhere to the standard that Jesus set for his followers when he stated: “Your Leader is one, the Christ.”—⁠Matthew 23:10.

Did you notice that the WTBTS writers wrote that "Some think of" instead of citing any specific reference or widely recognized and reputable authority? Most JWs and recruits would probably be satisfied by those answers. When did the WTBTS become experts at helping people leave dangerous cults?

Why didn't the WTBTS just cite information by cult-exit therapists like Steve Hassan? Answer: The WTBTS is a dangerous cult that uses BITE control very well.

What is the Watchtower's(R) Objective with the APATHY TROLLEY(CART)?

if the wbt$ is losing money and drones then why so much apathy surrounding the trolley/cart?.

why are they not being more pro-active with this 'urgent, never to be repeated work(tm)?'.

The WTBTS is a dangerous cult. It keeps JWs busy thinking that they are better than everyone else, and therefore reinforces the WTBTS's BITE control. I still cannot figure out the money making angle for the WTBTS, unless it is to advertise the JW.ORG brand. I sometimes wonder when the WTBTS will allow advertizing on their website or have an online JW.ORG gift store where JWs can buy JW.ORG junk.

Considering that posters have described that JWs behave apathetically while manning the trolleys, I don't see a positive outcome for the WTBTS, unless they want to lose more JWs. I wish that there were trolleys were I live, so that I could ask them a few simple questions or a poster with jwfacts.com.

it appears to be there in the preview box, but when i hit submit, it disappears!

Involved with a JW woman

i'm a christian man whos divorced with 2 kids.

we're in love and seriously want to be together.

Hi jonza, Untill she reads one of Steve Hassan's (preferrably) or Raymond Franz's books, I would not get your hopes up. I wish I knew how you could purchase one of those books in her native language.

When you read the Bible with her, ask her how she interprets the Bible. I wouldn't recommend mentioning the WTBTS when reading the Bible.

watchtowers army assault on our vulnerable elderly in nursing homes

its been a long time since i have been this enraged at the evilness and shameless exploitation by the jws.

i just got back from the meeting (dont ask) and sat through the km article laying out plans to mass convert nursing homes all over the world.

i am not going to labor the obvious ethical travesty of this plan but i will say that it constitutes a major public health risk.

Hi friendaroonie, Why would the WTBTS want to recruit nursing home residents without assets to bequeath to the WTBTS? Follow the money.

If there is a way to prioritize your efforts, I would concentrate on upscale nursing homes where residents are not soley dependent on some form of medicare payments to pay for their care.

Best of wishes in your efforts. I do care about your efforts, but I am more focused on writing to politicians to change IRS rules for non-profit organizations to establish societal expectations to qualify as a non-profit organization, including religions.
