Yes, I take Zoloft and a B vitamin and fish oil each day. Relieves the panic attacks, anxiety and stress.

by tresdecu injust wondering if any ex or current "concious class" dubbers out there take anything; and if it works!
my family is still in and with everything else going on in my life, sometimes i consider asking my doc about zolft / prosac.. thanks for any replies!.
i should just ask 85% of my congregation-mates ... lol.

September 8, 2010
The printery in Wallkill has been publishing magazines for 37 years and in that time has produced over 8 billion magazines. Starting on Monday, September 6, Canada started printing all of the English and Spanish magazines for the United States and Canada, starting with the December 15, 2010, issue of The Watchtower. They are also printing the English and Spanish Kingdom Ministries and most tracts. Wallkill is still printing books, Bibles and brochures using their 2 MAN presses. In the 2010 service year, over 27 million books were produced at Wallkill.

G-Jobs the fuel that fed the fire! Cleaning out barns, installing carpet, painting and doing whatever. Had offers to put up mobile home skirting for sleeping with a pervert! Had to run from that one. Seems he had a bunch of other young Bethel boys that would do 'odd" jobs for him. He said he had a large dog also - wondered what the dog would do! This actually happened back in mid 70's at Wallkill - anyone remember the HootOwl Tavern. That is where the old pervert liked to pick up the boys (by buying drinks first). It truly is a sick world!

Helpful suggestions for The Watchtower Society ...
by wannabefree init seems you discontinued the wrong meeting.. 1. reinstate the "book study" at private homes - (and go back to the original name, because changing the name to "congregation bible study" isn't fooling anyone).
2. add a real bible study/discussion to the in-home meetings.. 3. discontinue the other four meetings and sell the kingdom halls ... or turn them into homeless shelters, that would be a christian thing to do.
4. stop printing magazines for the ministry, tracts work just fine.

The suggestions for survey forms - I dare the WTBTS to ever do this!!! They are in utter fear of the real way that the flock feels!
Honorable ways to leave the org - no questions asked - no questions asked.
Also, unannounced visits of Cos or DOs to the KHalls - a rating system of the cong - elders - 2 strikes and your out.
Paying a maintainence or cleaning company for upkeep & cleaning of KHalls and Assembly Halls - stop the free labor.
Acknowledge women as teachers - Paul told Timothy that women were teachers - esp. to other women!
Bethel speakers can not accept money from the flock. What no green handshakes, dinners, booze, perks, airmiles, trips?
CO expenses - all paid for from headqtrs - not local cong or circuits.
Finally, let pubs send in articles to be published - their research and thought process would bring refreshment to all, instead of the stale old party line.

Why does the Watchtower use "New world" constantly?
by TastingFreedom inwhy does the watchtower use "new world order", or "new world translation", etc....as part of its terminology?.
makes me wonder about some of the conspiracy theories out there?.

In the 50's they were known as the New World Society. It makes you stand out. The old literature shows an almost Communist look of order, conforming to a new rightful way of leadership and submission. Standing out as different from the world with its chaos, long-haired wild hippie movement, brought a calm and hopeful future for the people. The word world was not understood right. It is substituted now with system.
Read through some of the old literature and bound volumes of the 50's and early 60's for a real laugh. Knorr coined the word and loved the following - a caught phrase for the post war era.

Everything you do, say, look at, hear or don't hear will be analyzed and stored for future use. The judging and micro-managing have risen to epic levels. Why do you think many come to the meetings late, go and sit in back rooms, leave early or right after the prayer? Entire lives are analyzed and recorded for judging you - are you good or bad association? Can I trust you with a confidence? The looks from others, the put-downs, talking behind your back. Real Christian love?
I have seen ones over the years come to meetings wearing sunglasses to conceal the tears or anger on their faces. The happiest place on earth?
There are exceptions to this rule, but now with no more home study groups, the family feel is in the toilet! Assistance from your service group leader? What a joke! A mindless beehive of activity (keep busy till you die - be a good worker or soldier).
Too busy to think, question or seek answers.
Living in fear (remind you of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"?)

Sell all the properties in Brooklyn - give a pro-rated amount to all former Bethel workers based on years worked.
Do away with loans for KHalls - ownership outright by WT - only expenses cared for by locals are for maintainence.
Do away with reporting time! This is probably the biggest hangup that the org has.
Do away with aux. pio, reg. pio, required hours, quotas.
CO, DO, Gilead - special servants in full time service - why call them special? Do you need titles????We are all bros & Sisters!!!!
Bible study using only the Bible (various Translations) & use commentaries (where do you think Russell & others got their ideas?).
Youth groups, single parent groups, neighborhood charity programs, host poor families, clothes drives for homeless, shelters.
Old folk homes for old missionaries, DO, CO, Bethel - with healthcare.
No more delusional faithslave slave, limited numbers, dates, wacky formulas.
No more trying to make everything in the Bible & prophecies apply to modern-day events, JWs only.
Recognize, acknowledge and respect the good things done by so-called worldly people, orgs, and churches.
Stop saying - "We are the only true people, clean & pure, everyone else is evil & under the influence of Satan"
Stop delighting in the foretold destruction of billions of people and then talk about billions coming back from the dead!
Positive influence in local economies - giving tax money and other things freely - not being so tight-fisted.
Letting members express their own opinions in a loving manner without restrictions.
Open forums with leadership where freedom of expression, concerns are welcomed.
Be a true humble, meek, loving, caring and unified group with no gossip, hatred, shunning, lies and coverups.
Stop all the false claims and admit openly that YOU and not the pubs made mistakes, failures, causes needless death & suffering.
Stop all micro-managing of congs, elders, COs and pubs.
Say for once - "We really don't know much at all - only a few things and we all need to trust Jesus for direction and not us!
We are not qualified to handle judical matters - no more df (go to police, courts, lawyers, etc).
Let the members use their conscience and encourage some differences within reason, with love and acceptance.
All Kingdom Halls, Assembly Halls and Conventions to have survey forms (how are we doing, room for improvement, wants, needs?)
Do away with record keeping, numbers, facts, etc. - don't keep track of the injury.......
Do what Jesus would have done - in all things.
In other words, be a true CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION!

Did you ever know any JW's/Pioneers who frequented popular nightspots and got drunk?
by James_Slash init used to make me sick at these hypocrites.. they would be at the meeting the next day or out in field service, obviously still intoxicated from the night before but putting a show on before the congregation.
i knew a couple of girls who would be regulary doing this over a weekend yet they would be pioneers all week, answering up at the meetings yet would be heading into popular nightspots and coming home at 4am drunk.
their dad was an elder (surprise, surprise).. i remember telling an elder about this once.

Alcohol is the only vice and way for many to cope. I have seen more drunk JW than worldly people at clubs, social events, weddings, etc. If the GB came out with an abstain policy like the Mormans, there would be rebellion, massive revolt. They love the booze so much at Bethel that it flows from the water taps. More booze, wine and beer are drank than water. I have seen Bethel elders so smashed that they blacked out and didn't know what hit them. It is a terrible double standard that gets swept under the rug. The articles about 1 glass of wine, 1 drink before driving and the like, are basically ignored. "I will cover it up for you, and I expect you to do the same". Hypocrites! Jesus sees it all, and you will have a double accounting!
