HATING JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
by marianne infrom what i have gathered, you all were once jw's and now hate them or the organization?
do you still believe in jehovah and love jehovah?
i have to admit i dont like, actually i rather dislike, some of the sisters in my congregation and i know that's wrong of me, but some of them really think they are better than me and are quite judgemental.

Marianne, this is a group for jws who are questioning their beliefs & for ex-jws. From your posts so far, I don't think you understand that. I for one have no love for Jehovah's Witnesses the organisation, & I think you'll find that if you start defending 'Jehovah's name', you will cop some criticism, particularly from me!

Vent about induction

my brother's girlfriend is getting induced right now, for absolutely no reason.
she was due on monday & went in on monday night to get gel.

Hi there, just wanted to let off some steam. My brother's girlfriend is getting induced right now, for absolutely no reason. She was due on Monday & went in on Monday night to get gel. That didn't work, so this morning they broke her waters & put her on drip. Whatever happened to letting nature take its course. She says she's going to ask for an epidural soon. She'll end up giving birth drugged up & with her feet in stirrups. I am upset because I had an unnecessary induction & it was awful, & I told her not to & she didn't even listen to me at all. It is just so stupid. I don't even think I can go in to see them, I feel so upset about it all. I know it's not about me, & I'll put a smile on my face later today, but I just wanted to vent. Thanks!

How to tell a close friend...
by sinis inwell, after much prayerful thought and earnest research i have come to the conclusion that the wts/jw's are just another religion.
for me it was not only the un but also all of the doctrine surrounding 1914. thus if 1914 is wrong than there is no "faithful and discrete slave", no "class" distinctions, etc.
i'm not going to turn into a jw basher as some do when they leave - to each his own.

the men of the time
That's about right - Yahweh was a god for 'the men of the time' - the Hebrew men of the time, not women, & not any other race. Doesn't sound infinite to me. Sounds like he grew out of the tribal god El into a patriarchal monotheistic deity which has suckered in millions so far.

I'm sorry too - I didn't go to my best friend's wedding cos she married a 'worldly' guy & wasn't going to meetings anymore - I regret it so much. I hope your sister regrets this choice one day.

Did you ever hear "Congratulations" from dubs. when you were expecting?
by sweet tee init still amazes me how lacking jw's are in social decorum.
i had 4 children while in the b0rg and not once did anyone say congrats.
to me or my husband.

The WTS is so anti-women it isn't funny - why didn't I realise it sooner?!
Congrats to all those with kids - they are the darndest things! My sister-in-law is having a baby today, can't wait to see him!
