  I really blew it......I am the nightmare householder!

  i really blew it yesterday.

  we had just gotten home from a very long day and we were contemplating what to do for dinner and then a knock at the door.

  the sister was back with an elder and he asked to speak to my husband...completely got his name wrong.

  We've all got to blow off a little steam occasionally & being emotional is a healthy state to be in, especially towards elders!

  FIN, I think your mental state is decidedly fragile, & you seem to be a controlling, manipulative elder/elder's wife. Am I correct? We come to this site for understanding & to share experiences with other ex-dubs who have the same sort of feelings - this is not the place to berate strangers for confessions that come from their hearts. We are all vulnerable enough.

  and asked do you accept the faithful and distreet slave as jehovahs channel on earth (or something similar to that) what would you say/do?.

  i would laugh my ass off and slam the door in their face.

  this really happened to a friend of mine a long time ago.

  ask a question you've always wanted to know (not necessarily religious in nature; just in general) from trivia to personal inquiry......let it out now.

  Rod P: great advice! We can all do with some relationship counselling at times - it's good to get an outsider's view.

  My 2 cents: Being a domestic goddess sux. That is my personal opinion, but I bet it's shared by many other women. I am busy at uni & with a toddler, & the thought of cleaning drives me craaaazy! I hate it! Even when I was at home all day every day with baby I hated it - I find it very depressing ...

  My question: How can I lose weight with no time to exercise, & I'm too stressed to diet?! And I'm addicted to chocolate! Any experts out there?

  o.k..... i've been out of "the truth" for about 10 yrs now.... .

  so when i was in i was still a child, and someting just didn't sit right with my child like mind..... whats the deal with not having any women elders....?.

  did i miss that watchtower article somwhere....?.

  Research suggests that the early Christian church was remarkably equalitarian (but with not much room for children) & that much of the work attributed to Paul is actually pseudo-Pauline (written a long time after the fact to keep those mouthy women in line!)

  well i am no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.

  i had fully intentioned to disassociate myself from the platform today, but i decided that if i wanted a chance to save my marriage that i'd better tell my wife.

  she immediately went to to one of the elders.

  Matt, I'm glad you finally put your pic up!!

  Hugs to you. I did the same thing almost five years ago now & I have never ever regretted it. I lost my family for a while, and all of my friends/community, but now I have a beautiful hubby & daughter, a degree, my family back, a sense of freedom that no one can take away. I wish the same for you. Courage is always rewarded.

  Good luck with your wife & mum - tread gently but firmly!

  we had a very interesting weekend to say the least.

  my daughter, my neice , youngest son and friend all went to a listen to a band.

  i don't know what musical catagory to put the band in but alternative rock.

  Gumby, I absolutely agree! Women never had a chance with Jehoba.

  The worst examples are the gang rapes in Genesis & Judges - daughters/wives left out for the men of the city - condoned by God. I can't believe I swallowed it for so long ...
