I miss your analysis of things and wonderful way of writing. But you are in stag 10 and there seems to be some unwritten rule that stag tens cannot return to stages 2 thru 9 without becoming totally disoriented suffering from temporary Turret's disease. Winky Good to have you back now and then.

Nonsense! I don't believe I made a single bit of difference, at least in the long run. I waved my hands and yelled a lot, but I only helped a few souls out of that nonsense.
In short, I failed. My music is my only redemption in this life. I'm pretty good at that.

Man, You just need a kick in the butt. A dozen people say you helped them and you just wave them off cussing like an ugly sailor. Why not relax and share some fluff with your friends.

You are right, EXJW needs seem to have changed. When I came on I couldn't get enough of the stuff you, AlanF, Kent, JanH, and Norm posted. When I recovered from exit the WT I thought I would try to contribute something of that sort too to JWD but after hours of research and editing I would see those threads disappear in minutes.

I think the needs have changed. And as you said in a phone conversation about a year ago, the really heavy stuff exposing the Watchtower Society has been uncovered and is all over the internet and in publications. So even I am currently posting daily updates to Steve and Joy's Excellent Adventure. Now there is a WT expose to admire.

It seems that there is a flood of people leaving the WT who do not need convincing that they are leaving a fraud. They just want friends who understand and will share their experience. If that is the need, then I will go with that. It sure helped me in the last two years.

Don't doubt for a moment, though, the importance of all your past efforts. You are a geniune person, full of valuable information, and you have helped countless people. You are still an asset to the exJW community in that regard. So I hope you find a comfortable place in this new reality. Otherwise, you have a life in the real world too. Get the most out of it. Whatever, I will always appreciate your support give me when I first came here.

My Grandad died this morning

the last grandparent i had died this morning.. .

he was such a great guy.

was in the raf in wwii and went to iraq and other places but didn't really talk much about the war.

I'm sorry to hear this. He sounds like he was an interesting character.

He had his own way of doing everything and was a bit of a rebel, certainly unconventional.
When I was little, I worried about him not "being in the truth". Now I realise that he was too smart for that

I think I see why YOU liked him. You may have been very much influenced by him too.

Below is the poor couple who owned the motorhome. They we just standing back on the shoulder of the interstate when we pulled up with two laptops in their hands. We talked together sharing esperiences the whole time their home was burning. They lived in it full time, had everything in it and got out with just the laptops and cell phones, not even her purse.

We offered to take them in but they felt they needed to get a hotel and take care of business there for a few days. Up until the fire was about out I was the only one taking pictures so I will be sending them everything I got. Notice the last two pictures, there isn't much left.

Tomorrow we will talk about the Andersons, we thought we might keep them anonymous too but Barb said "why should you. We're disfellowshipped". So that will be day five of Steve and Joys Excellent Adventure.

Mulan, Sassy, and Xenawarrior,

Yeah, we are thinking our little flat tire thing was nothing now. Yes, we are having fun despite our reports of the last two days.

And the third disaster hit just a little while ago. We pulled into Joe and Barbara Anderson's driveway and Barb has not stopped talking for two hours now. Googly Eyes Just kidding. We missed the turn into their place, three times. It's a big beautiful place in the country.

Meanwhile, here are some more fire pics. I will post them as they load up. Using cell phone for uploads.

It took about one and a half hours four different fire trucks (kept running out of water) but they slowly got it put out.

We survived our little blow out adventure yesterday. NOW WE ARE ON FIRE. NOT!

Today we are just above Birmingham and come across this as the owners just got out. A motor home very much like ours (diesel pusher, motor in back). When we came on them it had just become a full blown fire but did not get the camera out until I got the car unhitched and backed up a little so we could get away from the many small explosions. Tires were blowing and knowing it would get worse before the fire department got there we were a little afraid of the propane tank. By the time I started taking pictures the fire dept arrived.

They haven't begun fighting the fire yet. I have several others and the outcome I will try to upload in a while.

Hey, she didn't over steer when it swerved, she didn't hit the brakes in a panic, and she didn't run on to the shoulder like a snake was in her blouse. She did real good. Now I have told her a hundred times "don't run over the Harleys, your going to hurt a tire", but it's hard to avoid them as slow as they go. Simplesally, What does Coach-net cover for that price? Surely just the service call right, not parts? If that is more than the service call I want to sign up tomorrow. On the other hand, would they have made as many phone calls and pursued as many options as we did, sitting here in the coach in hot Alabama six feet off the interstate? Anyway I would like to know more. Codeblue, I think it will be smooth now. Mechanically everything looks good, but tomorrow I'm looking for another tire as a spare and for some way to carry it.

OK, Its all settle now.

The next towing service said he might have a tire of that size, that he likes to have one on hand for just such occasions. He called back almost an hour later to tell us he found it, used and not one he prefered to sell me but for 300 dollars he would come out and even put it on. (not as bad as it sounds, these are expensive tires)

So we got on the road after fussing with this problem for about six hours at an average cost of only $50 and hour,

But made it to south of Birmingham Al. Anyone in Birmingham want to join us for breakfast tomorrow? Hopefully somewhere off interstate 65. Pm me and I will check the thread first thing in the morning.
