If memory serves, didn't 'Reniaa' claim that she had been a lapsed Dub but then announced that she was "going back" after posting her drivel on here for months on end? Then again, she was a total whack-job so she's probably not a good example.
Nope. I don't know of anyone who realized it was a cult and then returned to the vomit actually believing it was "the Truth". Gumby went back for his family, but he hates going and listening to their crap. One day, I think he's going to snap and tell them all to piss off..........

Wait a minute-----2014?! I thought we were in the last minutes of the Last Daze and that the Big A is "imminent". If you believe 110% that this System will be gone "sooooooon", why on earth would you be putting all this time, effort and cha-ching into building a 300 room facility? Won't they have enough empty houses to choose from when Jehovah murders almost 7 billion people?

Hmmmm......I'm not sure about this one. I've never heard a practicing JW use the phrase "fully indoctrinated before revealing our true teachings". It sounds like it could be an undercover 'postate getting a dig in on a Dub site.

Giving Herd the benefit of the doubt here and assuming this really happened, breaking into a religious place and robbing them is nothing new. If memory serves, grave robbers broke into the Pyramids of Giza and stripped them bare over 3,000 years ago. Was that also a "sign of the times?"

Excellent. One of my co-workers has a brother who joined the Borg after dating a Witness girl (who neglected to tell him that she was a Witness until he was hooked). She now rarely sees her brother but a few weeks ago, they actually dropped in and they had a glass of wine. Lisa (my co-worker) and her husband raised their glasses as a toast and well, you can guess what happened. Finally, her brother actually lifted his glass too but Lisa and her husband thought afterwards "WTH was that all about?" She said to her hubby "I'll ask Mary on Monday". So I told her the lame reasoning they had for it and told her "your brother probably paid for that big time as soon as they got in the car."
She said to me that she's got alot of questions about the religion but doesn't want to ask her brother or sister in law because they'll try to convert her. LOL.

Yepper. They'd rather keep their true nature as a nice little surprise once the victim has been sufficiently brainwashed into believing that the WTS is God's truth.
My JW sister brought the subject up a couple of months ago as it really pissed her off that they were talking about 'not associating with family members who are disfellowshipped'. Far from obeying them (even though I'm not DF'd, she knows full well that I don't believe their bullshit anymore), it annoyed her and she said to me "they need to stop trying to control everyone's life". I told her that the internet has changed everything and that the reason so many are leaving is because they can't hide all their dirty little secrets anymore and that the truth is just one click away.
I don't know if it's the GB or some some goon in the Writing Department that's coming up with this tripe, but I'd say over the last year that more and more of the study articles reek of "desperation" to shore up the numbers. They just truly don't seem to get that all the rules have changed and that people are not just automatically jumping when they're told to.
