  What Would Bring The Watchtower Down?

  randy/dogpatch has posted some interesting material about troubles in the organization.

  this info generated a lot of skepticism about the possibility of watchtower fragmentation.

  frankly, it is very easy to be skeptical considering everything that ordinary witnesses are willing to believe or put up with.. i think it would be useful to realistically consider what sort of event(s) would bring the watchtower down or cause its fragmentation?

  Let's focus on one point, right now, there is no 'head' of the GB with the departure of Jaracz has left it headless, who really do you think will step up to take the reigns and be the bulldog within the GB?

  Barr may be the oldest and most experienced, but he has one foot in the grave. What about Loesch? I'm just throwing ideas out there, I have no 'inside' knowledge.

  Anyone want to add to what they think is going to go on with the leadership? Even in a 'committee' type setting, there is always one that is the de facto leader. Or did GB1.0 replace hardcore brown-nosers, no leadership skills, 'yes' men with GB2.0?

  I really think for anything to change drastically in this cult, it will have to be top down as it has always been.

  MLE, actually, you said it. If I was made a perfect human being, why in the hell would I want to sit around petting animals? Collared shirts? Why is every freakin WT article have males in khakis and button down shirts or polos and females in skirts? Seriously? You want me to live like that? HELL NO!

  Perfect mind, perfect body, perfect world, I'll be engineering a space ship and getting off the JW fairytale world ASAP!!!

  Those questions asked in the OP were the exact same questions I asked as a kid growing up a JW. I would stare and analyze the Paradise™ pictures for a long time wondering, how are we going to travel? How are we going to get electricity, water, clothes, are we going to have super markets? I can't grow, raise animals all myself to sustain my family, why not have supermarkets...

  What about lumbar? Sawblades, fuel to run the dozers and excavators... the list was endless. My mom just told me, 'there will be new scrolls opened in the new system and we'll get further instruction on how to live then." I was like, wtf? Why? We know how to live now, we'll be perfect right? So we can engineering clean burning energy sources. We can harness nuclear fission, efficient solar cells, batteries that never die out.

  JW Paradise™ IS a pipe dream. So many millions are sucked into that fairytale...

  i am a former dub, born and raised and left at the age of 18. i was baptised at nine, aux pioneer, regular pioneer and around 16 started to see the light.

  my parents give me the heave-ho the day i hit 18 (at midnight, to be precise.

  ) i was marked at 17 for dating a "worldly".

  Reporting time

  has any of u ever put a report in and added time u didnt do on it.

  i have ......just so theyd stop bugging me its like every time i sat down have u put ur report in thats all they talked to me for,.

  then id get ignored rest of the time,.

  LOL! Me too, I pioneered for just over a year, went to pioneer school, blah blah blah, raised in the truth, spent more Saturdays of my life in field serv-us than a kid should. To this day, my count of bringing anyone into the 'truth'... 0. I'm planning on keeping that record too. In fact, I'm on a mission to go into negative numbers.

  clearpoison, that's is along the lines of my thinking. By lying to the SO each month giving him false numbers, I'm playing by their rules and I am doing no favors to myself. I should be getting a call soon from the SO, this time, I'll tell him 0. I know he is going to ask am I sure I didn't preach at all, I'll just keep reiterating 0. There is no excuse, no reason that I need to explain why I don't have any time to report.

  The whole reporting of time is pharsaical IMO. JWs = Modern Day Pharissees.

  BroDan, I did some number breakdowns earlier this year on the amount of hours in the ministry spent last year divided by the amount of new baptized publishers. It came out to something like 5,500 (est) hours per new baptism. I don't know about you, but if my employees spent that much time on something with only 1 result, they'd be fired. The WTS version of 'preaching' is inefficient and ineffective.

  I want to get baptized...but how and why should it happen?

  ...and not saying that i have to get baptized as a jehovah's witness.

  i was an unbaptized publisher, but i had to step down because of some confessions i made to the elders about two years ago.

  (yes, sexual confessions, i told them that i wasnt a virgin).

  technically you and a friend can dunk you in your bathtub or a river/lake if you near one!

  It is a symbolic gesture only afterall....

  This. It's symbolic. If you want to make it special, have them say a prayer, or you say a prayer and do the dunking.
