Thank you skipper.
It looks like a lot of effort went into the research on this topic. Helping others out is a main concern for me right now.

what if i meet someone from school?.
from the awake, feb 22 2002. sorry, if it seems rather late in coming, but after only 7 weeks,.
it was a normal part of my life, and what wasn't normal was having it stay with me throughout my adulthood.. till now now i tell people, i'm an ex jw.
Hi Zev,
I'm glad you are felling free. Thanks for posting this topic.
This fear issue not only weighs heavy on the young, but a woman I know is a middle school teacher and she won't go to the congregation where the school is located. Even adults have fear of running into people they know from school!!

for me, the word was "loving".. great "loving" kindness.. great undeserved "loving" kindness!.
disfellowshipping is a "loving" provision.. when the wtbts want their accolytes to swallow another bitter pill, another restriction, another rebuke, another demand on time, the buzz word is "loving".. the "loving" word, is, to the average jw, the same as the mccabe nod is to the salesman.
the mccabe nod is used by salesman all the time to get the prospective customer to agree to something that he doesn't care for too much.
Englishman, you always come up with some good topics.
I laugh at Freddy's comments. Who can take him seriously.
I agree with LB, I can't stand to hear the word appreciate in any form, YUK

Thanks Randy, this was refreshing after reading those letters you posted earlier.
ummmmm how to put this?
i'm leaving and moving on from this community, obviously to the great delight of many of you, however, for all the other more genuine characters, may i extend a hand of appreciation for all the help that you have given me at times.. to be honest, this place makes me feel more ill often than better, it feels like i'm sliding backwards the longer i stay around.. maybe one day i'll return when attitudes from those who could be more socially responsible actually make their nessarsary changes rather than constantly being on the attack against those who have no other agenda but a desire to help out their fellow man, regardless of religion, creed, sexual orientation or whatknot.. to those friends that i have made here, please feel free to email me anytime and/or if ever you need any help personally, please do not hesitate to call upon me.. cheerio, keep your chins up.. peace & whatknot(?).
mark.
Dearest Celtic,
Please take care of yourself. I've enjoyed getting to know you. Chat will not be the same without your wonderful presence there. May your journey be a joyful one.
Like Ginny Tosken said, please grace us in chat with your presence once in awhile.
Hugs, Joy ps can't spell
these letters will blow your mind!.
it's hard to beleive that one or two small-minded men in the service dept.
could be responsible for thousands of medical emergencies going bad or even death.
Thanks Randy for posting these letters.
I printed out all 47 pages.
What will happen to R. Jensen now?
What is next? Do you think there will ever be any changes to the blood issue for the wtbts?
hi all,.
i was at my grandmother's yesterday and stumbled upon a diary with www.circuitleasing.com on her kitchen table.. seems like the society has their own leasing company now, selling co's cars and they regularly send my gran the information on how to buy since she bought one about 8 years ago from brooklyn.
they are plying her with calendars and key chains this year.. anyway, check the site out and make sure you register for your free keychain too while supplies last.. let me know what you think.. diana
ROTFLMAO rhett,
please let us know if you get a key chian.
did you ever really believe armaggedon was just about to happen?.
maybe to such a degree that you were scared or made major changes in your life?.
i'm not old enought to remmeber 1975 but with the gulf war a lot of people got scared and believed the end was coming ( including me).. werent we doing the revelation book at the time?.
Yes
(thank God I'm free from that idea anymore!)
here is some interesting info from a website at http://www.refocus.org/postcult.html that may help those just leaving the wts to understand the feelings they are experiencing (and the rest of us too).
it is not about jw's per se, but it still applies.. --------------------------.
post-cult trauma syndrome*.
Thank you Free Peace for posting this.
For those who are offended that jws are "cult" like, they will see that the emotions of existing a group who had their minds controlled are very similar.
I can't imagine going through these emotions by myself and am glad I have this board to help me deal with them.
Thank you one and all who help, you know who you are. j2bf
a friend emailed me a list of these honest things:.
