Very confusing... here's an op/ed article from 1999 where the Indians seem to be upset about foreign-funded religious movements:

Luna - I used to hate those zealous ones who would decide that despite the freezing 30 below temperature that since they didn't need a break, no one else should take one - esp. the ones that weren't driving! I used to love working with the bookstudy conductor. It basically consisted of staying in the car and "driving around supervising the others". Nice and warm!

The McDonald's Diet
by Pleasuredome ini thought this news item was quite funny.
last february, morgan spurlock decided to become a gastronomical guinea pig.
his mission: to eat three meals a day for 30 days at mcdonald's and document the impact on his health.

I just read this article today as well - totally disgusted me. I would highly recommend "Fast Food Nation" as a gripping read. The comments by the doctors about his liver were gross and appalling. Can't wait for this to come out on Sundance Channel.

I like Coke for mixed drinks and Pepsi on it's own.
That said, pop (soda for you Yanks) is the biggest reason there are so many obese children and adults. I am appalled when reading books like "Fast Food Nation" to find out how many youth are drinking this crap daily. I saw a woman giving an Orange Crush to a one year old and saying "drink some juice"! Kid under 5 should'nt be drinking acids like that. I have one every couple of weeks and have in fact switched to Diet Coke seeing that it's pretty bad crap for you.

How do witnesses answer the following?
by sandy ini seriously forgot many of the teachings of jw's.
the more i read your posts and do research on my own the more i realize how little i really know about the bible and jw teachings.. .
my question is this: if able and even enoch proved to be true followers of god even though imperfect why was it necessary for god to send his son to die for us?

That would make too much sense... It also wouldn't sell many books.

SLP - I hate to beg to differ, but traditional GPS doesn't "transmit" to satellites. It merely picks up the signal from a series of satellites and calulates position. I would assume that these phones would transmit a signal (on the cell phone spectrum) to feed location - not up to the satellites.

SLP - I honestly can't see how GPS will work without line of sight unless they are also using the Coast Guard beacons etc. If you are in a concrete shopping mall, you are going to get a read on the satellites.
