Another 144,000 Question
by Cold Steel inokay, based on my reading, you're clearly better off being one of the 144,000. first, you get to reside in heaven, while everyone else is consigned to living on earth.
second, a spirit (in wts eschatology) is much better than being a flesh and bone human.
they can fly, read in a darkened room and they get to be with god for eternity.. but what of everyone else?

If it was that great, why did naughty angels come to earth?

Ok, I want to get opinions on this!
by sabastious in3 years ago i was in a very deep depression.. i had recently gotten diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2 as well as a bad case of ptsd.. i was on the verge of suicide, i thought about it every day, every hour it seemed.. then something extraordinary happened.. it was the middle of the night, 2am.
i had been having bouts of insomnia for months now and was up very late.. just for the hell of it, i googled my full name: alex strait.. i found a recent news article that came up.. turns out just a few weeks earlier a 23 year old man named alex strait had been found in a park after he committed suicide.. that was pretty freaky.. the next day i get an email from someone.. turns out his fiance found my website (i am a web developer by trade) that gave a description of my ailment and journey (through random googleing).
she emailed me through my website and asked if it was her alex strait that had killed himself.

How do I NOT take that as someone trying to tell me "I am not supposed to die yet."
"Wow, weird coincidence."

2011 Daily Propaganda...er...I mean Daily Text Bible DISTORTIONS
by brotherdan inreading through it is vomit inducing.
they chage the word of god, making it invalid.
it contains all the "best" stuff from the wts of april 2009 to march 2010. much of it focuses on the "faithful slave" and the 2 class idea.

And as Furuli is now discredited, the Wt Apologists do not have a loopy scholar to point to as authority.
As if that will stop them.

Soldiers of Jah
by cofty ini would like to propose an ethical dilemma for those who believe in the divine inspiration of the bible.. in the following scenarios i am not asking you what you would have done but rather, what you hope you would have had the courage to do.. scenario 1. you are camped on the east side of the jordan waiting for orders to cross into the promised land.
moses is nearing the end of his life but he has some unfinished business to take care of before he hands over to joshua.
he announces that he has had an instruction from god to take revenge on the midianites before he dies.

there is no indication tha the writers were aiming to prove anything or to write for the "ages".
There is a really interesting theory documentary about the stories of David and how earlir stories were likely re-written as tales honoring him and exaggerated and are tales of political intrigue designed the throw the blame off of david for the death of his enemies by specifically saying it was done by others. Like, how there are a few places where they slip up and say someone ELSE killed goliath, although there is speculation that it was just the "earlier" names of people. Either way, it show that it was re-written and likely for a pupose :)

Imagine someone getting a hold of this conversation in 4010 AD ! LOL !
They will marvel at how two ancients could be so wise, witty handsome and wonderful.

If We Were to Take the Flood Account Literally..
by Yan Bibiyan inthen i cant help but come to the conclusion that everyone who died (like 99.999% of humanity at the time) was doomed from the start.. if god directed noah to build a flotation device with very specific parameters, god must have known exactly how many people, animal species, plant etc, would be in it.. what if people actually listened to noah and thousands upon thousands turned up waiting to enter the ark?
god must have known that only so many people will listen and obey instructions.. no to mention that noahs message didnt really reach that many people.
at that time how many people could have heard it?

I have no position. I posted facts.
If you think so, and you clearly do so, feel free to cite them with backup. I'll give you a few things you wrote to start with.
Genetically all man kind could come from 2 people.
And all dogs including poodles and chiwouwas came from 2 wolfs.
Thats according to the bible and according to Dawkins.
All things you wrote. Show them to be factual.
If I have said somehting thats not true underline it in yellow. You cant because your full of it.
Sure, let me quote some incorrect things you wrote:
Genetically all man kind could come from 2 people.
And all dogs including poodles and chiwouwas came from 2 wolfs.
Thats according to the bible and according to Dawkins.
There you go, a nice little sample set of the incorrect things you wrote.
You cant beat me because all I have posted are scientific facts and your blabbering like a dingbat about
things you are making up.
Well, proving you wrong yet again was easy.
