Please...I need your help

my heart is heavy as i write this letter.

i have been trying to live my life as best that i can since leaving jehovah's witnesses.

my dad was not a witness and was my rock when i left the religion.

That was a well written letter.

I hope she responds accordingly and agrees that researching the WT using their own literature does not ammount to apostacy per se.

I hope she responds with love and acceptance. The love of a parent child is unique and special.

If she doesn't, hold the love you have for her in your heart and keep the memories of past times alive.

Don't become bitter. Live your life as you have chosen and be happy with the peace that you have without the JW rules and regs to curtail your right to be you!

7 years ago i started on a path i had long ago given up on as impossible.

i met with my elders and told them i could not justify carrying on as a jw.

i went and got my high school qualifications and my higher education diploma (a levels with distinction) in just 12 months.

i have been collecting and reading ex-jw books these last few years.

i love 'em all, just out of pure solidarity.. i went to order the fourth edition updated version of crisis of consciense for my collection (best book ever!

) and when amazon.com listed the best sellers of jehovah's witness books, this is what came up (see below).. needless to say, it tickled me pink.... brock talon .

Something odd just happened when I logged on!

i typed in my name, password and the captcha, expecting to see my name come up in the top right corner and what i actually saw was someone else's name!

(the name was another member of this board).

i looked at it for a few seconds feeling a bit puzzled and not sure what to do about it and as i looked it automatically changed (whithout me doing anything) back to my own name.. has anyone else had this happen to them?

jws sure love urban myths.

the jws have their own collection built up over many years, part of their own unique worldwide jw culture.

i've come across the same ones in america that i've heard in australia, and they pass from legend to myth and finally reality as quoted from the platform.

Galaxy chocolate was a NO NO as it had blood in it!

Fairy Liquid was up liquid was a NO NO as the company who owned it were demonic!

Second hand books, clothes, jewellry was a definite invite to the demons!

How could we have been so gullible?

ok guys thought i would pass this on i think its so funny ..............i was told yesterday that a 8 year old boy at the kingdom hall was playing up as he didnt want to be there, and his mother grabbed hold of him and frog marched him (making a big scene) out of the hall, she flung open the back doors and took him outside a few seconds later he runs back in and shouts at the top of his lungs " oh and by the way a merry christmas to you all" before his mother drags him out again, got to bless the wee soul.
