3/15 WT " Do Not Deceive Yourself "- WT's Excuses for No Armageddon
by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

Forget what they say, most JWs do not believe the end is near...

during that time i repeatedly vocalized my belief that "the end is near.
" however, what did this cost me?

I think many still believe but that belief is not what it once was. The urgency is not there as it used to be. The orginizations recent renewal of its war against higher education shows that many are turning that way because we are in fact still here. The recent effort to encourage the friends to strengthen thier loyalty to the org is also evident that the belief in the end is waining.

by NewYork44M inon the 100 birthday of ronald reagan i am a bit nostalgic about a very important date in my life.
if i could define an absolute date that was the beginning of the end for me as a jehovahs witness i would identify june 12, 1987. on this date ronald reagan was at the brandenburg gate and in a speech implored the soviet leader mikhail gorbachev to destroy the berlin wall with the words, tear down these walls.. i can remember with clarity my indignation of this speech.
i firmly believe that the progression of events would lead to the king of the north overtaking the king of the south.
