  i would love to hear jehovah's witnesses explain their beliefs in 1919 using only the bible.. 1:) why do you believe that god chose the "bible students" to be his one and only channel of communication and his organization on earth in 1919?.

  2:) what were the "bible students" teaching in 1919 that would have made god and jesus choose them over any other religion?.

  Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?

  after reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .

  i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.

  so please feel free to post your experiences.

  My JW parents are kind of shocked about this change. They were even more shocked about the 1995 change, and they refused to believe the 1995 change for about 5 years, then finally half-accepted it and just went on.

  My parents cannot understand how ONE generation turned into TWO groups which overlap and can span 200 years.

  How can you blame the Trinity on whether or not a group is a cult?

  And, I recommend that everyone look up Greek Dictionaries/Lexicons for that Greek word rendered "Deity".

  Thayer's definition is "The state of being God" if I remember correctly.

  3:) Why did God and Jesus reject all of the other religions?

  4:) Which Bible prophecies foretold that God would choose the "Bible Students" as His only Organization on earth in 1919?

  5:) What evidence is there that God did in fact choose the "Bible Students" in 1919?

  6:) Even if God did choose them in 1919, what evidence is there that God is still using the Watchtower Society as His one and only Channel of Communication today?

  7:) Are you aware that in 1919, Jehovah's Witnesses were celebrating Christmas and Birthdays, and were teaching that the end would come in 1925, and were worshiping Jesus, and were teaching that Jesus had returned invisibly in 1874?

  is there any jehovah's witness who can answer these questions about 1914?.

  can you demonstrate, using the holy scriptures, that the messianic kingdom was established in 1914, that jesus got the full legal right to become king that year, and that jesus returned invisibly in 1914, and that the "last days" began that year?.

  1:) no encyclopedia, no history book, and no archaeology book that i have ever seen have ever said that nebuchadnezzar destroyed jerusalem and the temple in the year 607 bce.
