  so the christian (baptist) that i study with says that there are things in the bible that are useful for learning from history, but if god didn't say it (this is what the sovereign lord jehovah has said, or if jesus actually said it, etc.

  ) then it isn't something that god is saying, so that helps us understand it?.

  That movie looks really good... it seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews. Here is a synopsis:

  2 year old in China run over-people just walk by

  when i saw this article on the news it really disturbed me.

  the callousness of the 'people' walking by this poor, sweet baby as she lay writhing in pain and all alone, was horrific to say the least.

  my blood truly felt like it ran cold and i've been thinking about this little girl all night.

  That poor little girl. When I was a witness I would have said that she would be resurrected and all would be made right. Now I have no idea if there is an afterlife and it makes these kinds of stories just heartbreaking.

  Which makes me think.. I am pretty sure an atheist person values life even MORE than someone who believes in God... because they think that this is our only shot and best make the most of it. I mean how ignorant to blame atheism for this!!

  Do all the reading and research you can. In this case knowledge really is power. You have to figure out a way to take the emotional pressure off of yourself so you can buy some time to get your feet under you. Saying you are having anxiety or depression about the meetings would probably work in this case (and its not really a lie!).

  I have to say that article on Freeminds was awesome! What a courageous and good father. Also funny that he was one of the anointed. I see that as a major victory over the watchtower's control.

  three cleaning days a year, spirng, fall and before the memorial offers a pediophile time alone with the children.

  it takes only one assault against a child to make it a crime.

  Kind of a dumb argument if you ask me. What kind of a parent would let their young kids be alone around cleaning equipment, chemicals and possibly lawn care equipment?

  Its all about the false sense of security. They aren't truly alone with cleaning equipment, Brother Pedophile is right there making sure the kids dont drink the bleach.

  Research Data Wanted: Married to a JW or child of one parent in and the other not

  i am looking for information from several groups of people.. people who are no longer jws but have a spouse who is still in.

  never-been jwswas a jw (baptized or not) but left after marrying and spouse remained indfed, daed or faded and still have a spouse who is inchildren (now grown) who were raised with one parent a jw and the other never beenchildren (now grown) where one parent left the jws and one stayed in.if there are categories i have missed let me know.

  i need this to be pretty inclusive and focused on couples where one person is a jw and the other is not.. i will be asking questions re:.

  Hi I am a category 2. My dad is atheist so he always thought the JWs were just like any other religion, albeit more strict. If the internet was around when I was younger, I think he would have been able to learn about the true cult-like nature of this religion.

  Having a worldly father really helped me to later accept the fact that this whole religion is a sham. But it created this divided household because I am an only child so a lot of times my mom and I would be left out of things that my other completely worldly family was doing. These sorts of circumstances created a co-dependent bond with my mom, since I am the only child. I am still struggling with this and am trying to figure out how to proceed with her. I am completely inactive and she knows I have "doubts." Trying to figure out how to possibly get her out of this cult, since all of our family were never JW's.
