I agree with Prisca - if the guy is happy, I'd leave it be for now.
Placebo - interesting nickname. Just think, he's been in every medical study ever done.
folks, this is a bad one.
there's this guy i know, we'll call him placebo for now, as that's his nick online, who i'm pretty good friends with.
he comes to our monthly graphics programmer meetups that we have in johannesburg quite a lot.

it is pretty pathetic for some people that claim they don't like the content/style/quantity of your threads and then to constantly dog you in them.
i think it takes a decent measure of talent and thought to consistently post interesting questions that generate good responses and from the number of replies/reads you get per thread, i would say others think similarly.. even your critics cannot seem to resist opening and reading what you write.
personally, i think they are jealous and frustrated that simple questions generate more interest here than their long well-researched essays.
I've wondered how minimus keeps coming up with the questions....I think and think and think, and I can't come up with some of the good queries he has posted.
Pretty amazing for a dancing piece of candy, or whatever that is in his avatar.
unbelieving mates versus inactive mates...
i could never figure out why the org told wives of inactive or brothers doing less, that they were to do their own thing and just not listen to their husbands?
if they were married to a unbeliever the org said to listen to him unless it were a direct vilation of bible standards.
Interesting thread indeed. What Cruzanheart and other posters mention here does often appear to be the true, and it certainly is sad. What outoftheorg said, about his wife's decision to only consult the elders shows how ridiculous it can often get.
moral reform of the organization is nearly impossible because of the stubborn,.
and cold hearted men who wield power.
pleading, protesting, and threatening have.
Met, when I was an elder, it was just like you said.....there was little time for pursuit of any interests outside of the .org. Eventually, that, coupled with many other factors, led to a great degree of frustration and dissatisfaction for me personally. I would guess it's that way for many other elders.

Matty, good response.....I had to do a double-take.
sometimes, the gender of a poster is relatively easy to deduce due to their style of posting, and, dare i say it, their choice of vocabulatory.
but sometimes it is difficult to know if you are "talking" to a man or a woman (or homosexual).
ok, right away, i hear protests of "what the heck does it matter?
For quite a while, I thought Hillary_Step was a woman.
some of you may already know through my posts, that i work in the prince william county circuit court.
the clerk was taking lunch, but called me to make me aware, that john mohammad is being transferred to our facility, and is probably here as i write this.. it is no secret that our prosecutors are tough, and have tried many a big case and gotten the dealth penalty.
they want this guy to get the death penalty for sure, so they jointly selected our court, since one of the murders was committed here.
Hi Karen, looks like you guys will be in the limelight. I also work in a court environment, and we occasionally get a high-profile case, but nothing like what you guys are handling.

we found your e-mail address and we are gladly to know the persons which they were or they are jehovahs witnesses.. today, many people believe that the jehovahs witnesses are only those which are the members of watchtower society.
If what nancee says is true, and this group is even more rigid than the JWs, count me out.
