  Secret Santa Wish List 2009

  for those of you who signed up for the secret santa 2009 list here is where you give your secret santa an idea of things you might like.

  it's hard enough to give gifts to people you know nevermind people you have never met.. so bearing in mind the $15 limit give us an idea what your favorite interests, colors are, or what things you might like.. in the past people have suggested something for their new christmas tree, a book, a cd of their favorite music, something from where their secret santa lives (something with the city's or country's name on it or an widely known item.. once people get their name they will be able to check back here to get an idea of what your interest is before they go shopping.. if you say "anything" or don't post then expect a surprise..

  so i have my daughter (a 33 year old choreographer turned psych student) reading rah.

  so far she's read double star and tunnel in the sky, she stayed up all night friday night finishing tunnel.

  she's working on the moon is a harsh mistress now.

  how to tell the difference between a man & a woman.. but on here!!!

  i cant tell wheather they are male or female, .

  yes some have the identifying mark ....pink or blue.. but some dont.

  JW members and 401Ks...

  i just would like to open a little debate here on retirement and jws.

  my mother, who is the breadwinner of the family, (dad's quite pathetic) is socking away money like mad for retirement.

  i can't blame her, since i know she'll need it, but she's convinced that the end is so near.

  Don't complain. My mom is in her 50's, works full time, does not have a 401k. Not much in her savings account either. I'm hoping that my dad is a bit more responsible, because guess who will get to support them in their old age?

  edited to add- my dad was telling me about his plan to get their house paid off within 10 years. I thought the same thing as you- Why? Isn't "the end" close?

  Did YOU Disturb The Consciences Of Others?

  the watchtower is always saying how we have to watch everything we do or say because we just might offend somebody's conscience and lord knows we wouldn't wanna do that!.

  did you find yourself offending the consciences of others?.

  So people try to find things to be offended over. I offended people by wearing boots (in the winter) to the hall. I should have brought along a pair of dress shoes. I wore tights under my skirt (winter again) and I was told that I should have worn a longer skirt to hide the tights. I was told that I should "do something" with my hair. I guess washed and brushed wasn't good enough.

  Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

  3/4 C butter 2 eggs

  1 C sugar 2 C flour

  2 large bananas (mashed) 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  1 3/4 C oatmeal 1 1/2 tsp soda

  12 oz package chocolate chips

  Preheat oven to 375 o . Cream butter and sugar. Add other ingredients, chocolate chips last. (mixes easier) Mix well. Bake 10 minutes.
