Our Second Un-Invitation Card

Sorry, LB.. You are correct in that it was a poor choice of wording..

She deserves to be shown undeserved kindness and unconditional love..

She is TRYING to hurt Mr & Mrs Ozzie, so that they do not continue to show her their love.. The reason is simple.. Because it BOTHERS her that they do love her, continue to show her that love, and that she is being 'forbidden' from returning that love...

At some point in time, she may come to realize that indeed she is the one that is not free, as the Ozzie's can love whomever they want, freely show it to whomever they want, even if the person doesn't return that love...

It's a very hurtful thing to be shunned by your own family/friends, but remember, WE ARE THE ONES in the know, and we KNOW that it is wrong to shun.. So, if we then accept and allow the 'sinners' to shun us as they are taught to do, are we not then committing a sin since we know better, and they do not?

Show them that they can shun all they want, and yeah, of course it hurts, but we still love them, will do anything for them that we can, and will not in any way allow their 'sin' of shunning to take away our inner peace and unconditional love we have for them...

They are the ones committing the sin(s), not us.. But they are under the bondage of current day pharisee's.. They do not know what they do...

We should love them even more as they try to make 'us' break the bonds.

Good for you, Ozzie and Mrs. Ozzie.. I will be sure to say a prayer for you and your daughter tonight!!!! Let us know how the graduation is.. May god be with you, and I am 100% sure that the thoughts, prayers and good wishes of all of the people on this board that know better are also with you!!!!

Jubilee Celebrations Forbidden To Witness Kids.

today, tuesday, is the fourth day of celebrating queen elizabeth 2nds golden jubilee in the uk.

whether youre a royalist or not doesnt really matter, the queen is, especially to the english, a part of our heritage.

its history being made in glorious technicolour.. so, theres lots of celebrating been goin on over the last 4 days.

Yup.. That's the same 'conscience matter' if you decide to take blood or not.. It's always your conscience, your decision.. The unmentioned part of that is that if you decision is at odds with what we believe your conscience should do, there will be "hell" to pay :-) (See, even the JW's do believe in hell, they just don't formalize it that way)...

Go, and put on a very happy and proud smile as your daughter receives her diploma...

Unfortunatly, and it is very hard at times to remember, but the only way you can become a victim is if you let yourself become a victim!!!

Just remember who's being persecuted now.. That would be you and the Mrs.. You, after all, know better.. You have seen the truth (sorry, no bad pun intended) and it is your daughter who is in the dark..

Don't be upset with her, don't be hurt by her actions, but show her the unconditional love that she deserves because you do love her unconditionally.. Remember when you would do this to people, how you felt 'justified' because you knew you were 'correct'... Well, don't lose that now, you know you are correct, in that shunning is wrong, and un-loving, and more importantly, that the shunning is not justified in any way shape or form..

Personally, I think the best thing you could do would be to give her exactly what she wants in this case (Show her respect).. She said she wouldn't acklowledge your presence.. So, show up, make sure she knows you are there and sees you, but don't even attempt to go up to her and greet her...

I am truly sorry that you are experiencing this, but hold your head up high, and allow your heart and love for your daughter to shine through... !!!

Bringing reproach on the organization..

hey, i got a question... the jw's won't even let the men have beards for 'fear' that the 'image' will scare some of the people while going door-to-door (or at least that was the reason i was given why beards are bad)... why is it that they are being hypocritical (i know, hard to believe they are hypocrits huh?

) and allowing even potential child molesters from going door-to-door?

after all, if they don't want to stumble anyone with a beard, why would they allow someone to be stumbled with an accusation of child molestation hanging around them?

15 states, "following bible principles, we will avoid trying to live (or demand others to live) by an extensive and rigid set of do's and don'ts that go beyond the teachings of the bible.".

i've read on this site many times that jw's are ruled by man-made rules and regulations relating to all sorts of stupid topics.

the result of the airing of the dateline program has been very positive.

dateline program will no doubt air again in reruns and may get further coverage soon.

there have been many mixed emotions as a result of this program.
